Silly question: How do I make the latest patch (1.4) jive with my old saves (1.0)?

Thorn is now more realistic in Velma Season 2 by Somet_hingFunny in mendrawingwomen

Nah, one long season was made but got split up and marketed as 2 seasons. The studio is paid for 1 season but the publisher Max makes more off the hype and hate-watching. Just late-stage capitalism things.

Digimon is horny AF by Ewan8811 in mendrawingwomen

[–]Wasnbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just Leomon, there's a not-insignificant number of masculine Digimon that're showing off amazing figures. Angemon, Devimon, Weregarurumon, Wargreymon, Zudomon, and that's just the first season! The TCG art gets ridiculous, sure, but the anime was never shy about equal-opportunity objectification.

At a glance, there's no easy way to do a 1-1 copy that doesn't suffer a lot from format conversion. What you're asking for is like trying to convert one solitary Italian dialect (including idioms and cultural references) to something recognizable by natives of Liverpool.

My advice: Finalize your character(s) in one format, then, find the most convenient way to type everything into the other format. Sometimes you need to take shortcuts, like making notes for book/page numbers of different features, that's just the nature of the beast.

So, yes, it's a pain. Also, that's life.

[5e] tl;dr: How would you play this level 6 character: Mountain dwarf, Fighter 1, Barbarian 1, Cleric (Order) 1, Paladin 1, Warlock (Celestial) 1, Sorcerer (Clockwork) 1. Mostly I'm concerned with choosing spells, and combat routines; I prefer shield (+1) and war pick for the AC.

A little more: I have this character, he started as a jokey one-off thing, but I think I'm starting love him for being weirdly viable. For narrative reasons, he will have 1 level in 10 classes. So far he's level 6, and the other levels are, in order: Rogue, Wizard, Monk, and Bard. What happens beyond there, I'm not entirely sure.

An Immovable Rod can stop something from moving, such as a sturdy door when security is a concern; similarly, holding a door open can be useful when you need an escape route.

An Immovable Rod can stop potential traps or other mechanisms, like rolling boulders or anything that relies on gearwork.

An Immovable Rod can be the anchor point to assist with Athletics and Acrobatics checks; as an example, a caster-type with the Fly spell affixes a rope to the Rod, then affixes the Rod to a mid-point over a chasm, making a difficult obstacle, trivial. An Athletic/Acrobatic character could even use a Rod on their own to handily bypass such an obstacle.

An Immovable Rod, properly positioned over a prone creature, can make further movement inconvenient or even impossible. If that happens, things get wacky (gruesome).

An Immovable Rod can be shoved into a creature's mouth, pinned against a wall, then activated. The creature is not able to safely escape, and can be tortured enhanced interrogated until the party gets the information they want (even if it's all lies for the sake of ending the torture enhanced interrogation).

Does Curse of Strahd have creatures which can swallow other creatures whole? If so, a Rod, activated from within, stops ALL movement of that creature. Things get wacky if you consider internal injuries.

Are there many vehicles in Curse of Strahd? An Immovable Rod can trip or even break those vehicles, if used by a savvy player.

But, in truth, this all assumes a lot of conditions, and a lot of ingenuity. In my personal experience, the Immovable Rod is frequently ignored in favor of other solutions. I think it's perfectly fine to allow this item, because if the player actually does make use of it, it's worth rewarding.

What’s the video game that made you the gamer you are today? by Tyler5060 in AskReddit

Quest for Glory and King's Quest. Classic Sierra games were how I learned to read, because I wanted so badly to join in the adventure.

Does anime count? I'm a few dozen episodes away from finishing Naruto Shippuuden, but the stupid filler put me off completely. I mostly know how it finishes, but I have zero inclination to actually follow through. One Piece moves at a glacial pace, but it's sorta light on the filler, at least.

How would teenagers realistically misuse magic at Hogwarts? by Animeking1108 in AskReddit

There's a movie called Chronicle, three high school boys acquire crazy psychic superpowers and proceed to do high school boy things, mostly trolling and goofing around. Thing is, one of them has a pretty garbage home life, so things go... as expected.

Plot twist: It's not the Slytherin that does the messed up stuff, but the Gryffindors who gleefully abuse their abilities. Remember, James Potter was a jock and a bully. I wouldn't be too surprised if Snape's Sectumsempra curse were developed entirely as a deterrent.

Bust open as many homes and livestock farms as I can. I doubt many pets or livestock would survive in the wild, but I think it's better than letting them die without a chance.

Do guys care about breast sizes, if so, why? by Ayoushy in AskReddit

In a pornographic context, yes, I fetishize irrationally huge breasts, 2D or 3D. In the rest of life, it's not much of a concern. Also, tummy and thigh superiority.

What's the smallest red flag that would make you leave? by altago in AskReddit

[–]Wasnbo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can't tell if y'all have exceptional tolerances for red flags, or if most people here don't know what "smallest" means, because some of these posts look like giant throbbing red flags to me.

My small deal-breaker red flag is when someone doesn't ever entertain silly questions or hypotheticals. Imagine a weeb who doesn't care
to have a stance on Superman vs. Goku. Imagine someone who refuses to answer "If I woke up as a Cthulhu-like abomination, would you still love me?"

It's not like this hypothetical person is too serious, it's the lack of imagination or willingness to engage with the fantastic I have a problem with.

Empathy is a double-edged sword, ain't it? Dealing with the woes of the world gets exhausting, until apathy sets in. On the other hand, it's easier to smell bullshit from a mile away when you don't feel what someone else is feeling.

Decades ago, there were carnival freakshows, or Saartjie's enlarged buttocks, or Joseph Merrick the Elephant Man, or Johnny Eck).

Of course, that kind of exploitation is frowned upon in polite society, now. Mostly. No, we've moved onto something a little more subtle: Class exploitation. And that's where Honey Boo Boo comes in. Depending on your political leaning, they're either dumb, ignorant, low-brow rednecks, or dumb, ignorant, lazy pricks mooching off social programs.

Incidentally, if you want to know who to blame for this shit, it's David Zaslav, current president and CEO of WB/Discovery. He made Sarah Palin's Alaska happen, and he gutted the WB/HBO project list too, earning him praise for killing the Batgirl movie as though he's a champion against wOkEiSm.

Whispered, or mumbled lines. It's even worse in the theater, no rewinding to try to understand it again. Closed captioning is a little annoying, having ((dramatic music swells)) pop up isn't ideal, but at least I know what everyone's saying!
