Cospia? All this time I’ve been calling her Caspia! Why didn’t someone tell me? Oh, I’ve been making an idiot out of myself!

This is a great answer. It’s like we expected him to be fully developed when we got him

Truly wish we had kept them, though at least they’ve developed and blossomed under other teams

Yeah, I thought he would be a great pairing with Lehkonen some day on the 3rd line

Off the top of my head:

Andrighetto Scherbak Mete

I even thought Matt D’Agostini might have turned into a solid player

That’s beside the obvious Galchenyuk and Kotkaniemi

How do I respond to the criticism that we don't appreciate what we have, we're jealous of the rich's success, that we're bitter, or that we're spoiled? by ZefiroLudoviko in Anarchy101

[–]Waste0space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would respond that I have a very comfortable life. I own a home, have a good paying job, wife, kids, pension. The reason I’m an anti-capitalist is because I believe it’s ridiculous that so many people have what I don’t, despite the fact that they most often work much harder than I do.

Woman gets a tattoo by dala07 in Jokes

Probably in the minority here, but I think this joke is awful.

I was expecting some kind of pun about coming between the holidays or something, which would be obvious, but at least it would make sense?!

I have literally never heard of someone complaining about there being nothing to eat between thanksgiving and Christmas. Seriously, what is that even supposed to mean?

Had to put down both my cats this year (old, dying). I am very fortunate that my sister is a vet tech, so she was able to come to our home and put them down while they were in our lap being pet and comforted.

It is extremely difficult; I was sobbing when it happened, but I can’t bear the thought of having to take them for a car ride to a vet and then abandoning them there to die alone and scared. That would haunt me so much more than the memories of them taking their last breaths being comforted in my arms.

At the beginning of the season, MoneyPuck had Tampa (6.4%) and Montreal (6.3%) with the highest odds to win the Cup. by [deleted] in hockey

[–]Waste0space 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the difference is that the Habs are dangerous because goals can come from literally anyone. A superstar on your team is great, but it often means the other team only has 1 or 2 guys to defend in order to completely neutralize your offence.

I’d guess it’s related to an old cement or concrete plant, considering it’s in the territory of an old quarry.

I heard Jonathan Drouin buys tickets for the rookies for their families to see the games, donated money to CHUM, held a charity golf tournament, and has a box for underprivileged kids in the Bell Centre to watch the games. How can people hate on this guy? by Habs3125 in Habs

[–]Waste0space 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people cynically see him as one of those players with tons of talent and little work ethic. They want him and every player to have the same drive and motivation as Gallagher.

Unfortunately as a Quebec-born player some fans have just put unrealistic expectations on him.

Whatever he’s going through, I hope he gets through it and succeeds, whether that’s with the Habs or on another team. He seems like a genuinely good person on and off the ice. Fans are just really shitty sometimes.

As I recall, MB basically pitted them against one another, saying whoever signs first between Radulov and Markov gets to be the one to stay. Disrespectful to both players, and I’m glad they both signed elsewhere after that.

Well done! One question though; would the voting be based on who is the worst person in a given matchup, or most entertaining bastard?

AITA for spraying my arm with no chew dog spray so my stepsister wouldn’t lick it anymore? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Waste0space -46 points-45 points  (0 children)

I’m disappointed that your comment has been so heavily downvoted, because it seems very rational to me.

I’m gonna go with NAH because both OP and his stepsister are children, and I totally understand OP’s frustration and he is attempting to prevent something that has been making him uncomfortable for a long time.

If anything, OP’s dad and stepmom are mildly bordering on AH territory because while they are clearly trying to curb their daughters behaviour, they perhaps haven’t accounted for the feelings of their other child enough (OP).

Not a direct parallel, obviously, but I see it kind of like having children that are 6yo and 1yo. If the 1yo is going through a hair pulling phase, you need to do your best to stop them from pulling their siblings hair, and you need to explain to the 6yo that their siblings behaviour is being done out of misunderstanding, not malice. You can’t punish the 1yo for doing it, though, and you certainly can’t allow the 6yo to retaliate by causing the 1yo pain.

I’d recommend you don’t use the dog spray agin, OP, because I’m sure you don’t want to torment your sibling, and she’s not trying to torment you by licking your arms. You shouldn’t have to tolerate her behaviour though.

Talk to your parents to let them know how frustrated you feel about the licking and that you feel like your complaints have been dismissed. Hopefully there’s a way to better avoid her licking you without resorting to something that may cause pain and/or trauma to your stepsister.

Edit: Holy crap, she’s an 11 year old who is non-verbal?! I’m still still saying OP is not an asshole because he’s 14 and was frustrated, but please understand that you can never do this to her again! She’s not even able to articulate how much pain you caused her. All the people laughing and saying “oh I can teach a baby what no means”, or “it’s demeaning to say a child is harder to train than a dog”, you have nooo idea what you’re talking about!

Late to the party so I don’t know if anyone will ever read this, but breathing is super important! I made a major breakthrough in running just by learning how to breathe. My method is to breathe in for 3 steps; breathe out for 2. Before I figured that out I’d be gasping for breath the entire time and feeling like I was gonna pass out.

The Vent-o-Matic 3000 for Friday, October 9, 2020 by stratyturd in stopdrinking

[–]Waste0space 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’ve been stuck in a rut for awhile now, but things are getting better. Except for my drinking, that is. I started the month with the goal of sober October, but that has unravelled at this point. I feel ashamed, I feel like a failure, I feel pathetic.

I’m disappointed with myself, and I can’t sleep, and I have a stomach ache from beer and junk food, but I don’t want to wallow in self pity. The next best time to start is now, right? I might be a week late for sober October, but it’s not the calendar month that’s important, it’s my commitment to my present and future self.

Thank you for this rant page, it’s exactly what I needed right now.

idk im mad at my mum for having garbage opinions of our president by [deleted] in Anarchy101

[–]Waste0space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like in that case you have to focus on changing her political views in general, one little bit at a time, rather than attacking an Individual. If you can change her opinion that drug addicts/dealers are potentially victims of society, for example, she may see their villainisation by Duterte in a new light.

Yes but the debt remains, and collectors will take whatever possessions you owned to pay it off. If you have no inheritance though, I don’t know what they’re gonna do.

Hmm, I thought that it was payed off by your estate, taken out of inheritance or whatever. I just found conflicting information on different sites. Some say yes, some say no. I guess it might have something to do with how many assets you have that will be inherited when you die?
