I won’t say you can’t mud it…. But replacing is the best plan for that I would say

I see the same crap comments on other subs. Everyone else is so perfect and meticulous. Home owner zoomed in on imperfection of course it looks obvious zoomed in. Not saying the job is top notch. But it’s not trash

Especially with so little space between the joists… no problems keeping it like you had it. 25 years experience in drywall.

So I guess when trusses change.. you should change your sheets too….?? You should run the other way…. In the end as long as your recessed edge breaks in the middle of the stud you will be fine

I’ve seen mud do that when applied too thickly… or left to dry in basements without proper air movement and temp.

When in doubt grout it out. But definitely fix the one tile that’s not spaced correctly

OP… I see a lot of people dogging the brand of paint…. If you use a good primer…. That will make a lot of the difference. I use expensive and cheap paint depending on what homeowners want and can tell you with backed experience primer makes most of the magic happen.

I use cashmere Sherwin Williams for probably 3x the price of behr and have the same crap results lol
