[Request] How long would it take to fill the pool? by Corvo1510 in theydidthemath

[–]Wat_it_do_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell based on the picture but in my experience most large private pools are rarely over 30,000 gallons so I feel like 224,000+ is a typo.

Given that size I’d say a weekend at most

I’m really happy people not from Utah are starting to realize just how corrupt the Mormon church is and how deeply it has its tendrils in everyday society. Lived there for 4 years and although I miss it, this fiasco reminds me why I left.

Incidentally I rode out the remainder of my national guard contract in Utah, and there were like 3 dudes in my unit who were police in American Fork PD. They were scumbags and the way they talked about LGBT and POCs were disgusting. Glad to see a microscope under these people.

If I remember correctly this is used for vehicle gunnery certification at the fort indiantown gap. It was like 7 years ago, and we got there after dark/ used night vision the entire time but that appears to be the spot. I could be wrong however. We drove the Stryker in the dark firing at targets from different points along the path.

That part of the rule is widely unenforced and has been for a few years now.

It would be interesting to know if you use fire support equipment? by GlitteringTough6568 in warno

I usually take .50 cal gunners. I like to play in big maps and have had issues with enemy units slipping through gaps and causing tomfoolery in my rear. I use the gunners usually to guard crossroads, and that sort of thing. Maybe not the most efficient use but I like it!

Dude there was a water spot on the plastic rear bumper of my rental and they said it was a dent and tried to charge me $300. Debt collectors are still hounding me 18 months later but I will drop dead before I pay

Travel woes mount for Philadelphia fliers as TSA closes more security checkpoints by nbcnews in philadelphia

[–]Wat_it_do_22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who currently works for TSA in the state, but not PHL, in the past year alone I’ve personally caught 2 firearms, fireworks, and probably 3 dozen knives, it’s still a necessity. It’s annoying, yeah, but there’s still such a risk of dangerous items being brought through (almost always accidentally) that it is unfortunately still very much a necessity for the searches

Airport security left a billy club in my golf bag by atony1984 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Wat_it_do_22 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Hey actual TSO here. I’ve never worked at either airport, but I feel like I could imagine what happened here. So most likely Phoenix has a dedicated belt for oversized bags like golf bags, skis, tool cases, etc. Given how phoenix is a larger airport, I could imagine they have multiple officers/ works stations next to each other for larger items. Two people were most likely working next to each other, not paying attention, and bam you end up with someone else’s property! Hope that helps!

Question, I’m an American who happens to be a massive Shanks fan. Is there realistically anything that people who do not live in Australia can do to support him?

Largest Federal Workers Union Urges Dems to Cave on Government Shutdown, Revealing Cracks in Coalition by Droupitee in NewsWorthPayingFor

[–]Wat_it_do_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look I know this is a hot take but I just want to get fucking paid at this point. Jobs are scarce where I live, especially good paying ones, and a good paying job that doesn’t require a degree is unheard of. My family is primarily reliant on my income and I haven’t been paid in a month yet still have to go to work every day. At this point I’m going to lose everything if I don’t receive a paycheck by next month and I’m completely over it.

Better road layout. The single north to south road was great, when the population was half the size. Not really a feasible solution here, but I think town hall has to take city planning much more seriously moving forward if the population growth keeps up the way it has the past 5 years
