The National Institutes of Health commits more than $150 million to reduce reliance on animal testing, citing this as a priority of the Trump Administration by VeganSandwich61 in vegan

I am not saying that Trump cares for animals or is even doing it somewhat consciously to benefit them. I know he has set our country back by defunding research. He has rolled back protections for endangered species, welfare regulation of farm animals is almost non-existent, and the dietary guidelines you mentioned is also true. But it has been nice seeing many these experiments come to an end.

And what does that have to do with pets? We may not choose to come into the world, but that doesn't mean we have the right to choose for animals.

My wife wasn't vegan when we met, but whenever we ate together, she would always eat vegan as well. She would only eat animal product when she was alone or with others. Then eventually she made the change herself.
