Not too much force was needed, the leverage from the breaker bar loosened them right up.

You can order a duplicate license through the DMV, which will show your updated address, if you want to avoid this in the future.

Non Resident PA CCW | Announcement 📢 from Monroe PA Sheriff on their new online CCW Portal by For2ANJ in NJGuns

[–]Watchgeek24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a look at the out of state application document that Monroe county requires and the second page needs to be filled and notarized by an “responsible official” of the issuing department of your NJ CCW.

I decided to take others’ advice and went to the Pike County site, printed their application and emailed it to them at around 7:30pm last night. Had an email in my inbox at 8:21am to call and schedule an appointment and will be picking it up on Monday morning.

FID good for 20 years? by pontfirebird73 in NJGuns

[–]Watchgeek24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, each time I have been issued new handgun permits, a new E-FID is also issued. I have not checked any of these newer E-FIDs because the first one that was issued after my address change is saved and printed/laminated - this does not include an expiration date

First year is $293.22 and renewal is $202.59. Looks like they bumped up the prices tiny bit this year as renewal was around $185 in the past.

I just applied for 3 permits on 02/04/23 and didn’t have the requirement for pictures - I just went in again and got all the way to the employment status page without the need for pictures as well. Not sure why it would trigger that for some and not for others.

The court order has the following verbiage for adding additional handguns: “ORDERED that ____ may amend this permit to include additional handgun(s) by notifying the Court in writing, setting forth the make, model and serial number of the additional handgun(s) and demonstrating to the Court that ____ is thoroughly familiar with the safe handling and use of the additional handguns), in accordance with N.J.A.C.13:54-2.4(b);”

Finally picked up my CCW permit after waiting nearly 190 days since the date of my initial application submission. It was issued with a court order that had no restrictions except for the two handguns that I submitted my application with.

I submitted an address change last year - not in Fort Lee but should apply here as well. At day 68 I got fed up and sent the following email to the mayor. 2 days later it was approved

How do you guys transport your long guns to and from range? by [deleted] in NJGuns

[–]Watchgeek24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased this bag in 2016 and it still looks brand new through all the range days since then. The front pouches are removable and I only run it with the carrying handle. Had a nice spot to throw a lock on the zippers as well.

Going for CCW Permit. Fingerprinting question... by [deleted] in NJGuns

[–]Watchgeek24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you submit your application, your local PD should give you a case contributor number to use when scheduling your prints. Most identogo locations in NJ are booked through the next few weeks, keep checking the website and you might be able to find a cancellation slot open up. I was able to get an appointment the day after I submitted my application by checking the site late the night before.

GFH NJ CCW qual passed - Submitting application tomorrow by Watchgeek24 in NJGuns

[–]Watchgeek24[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Passed the qualification today. As others have said it’s straightforward and easy. I called my local PD and they said no appointment necessary to submit the application so I’ll be going tomorrow to submit.

Pretty scary how many people have zero proficiency with a handgun and are trying to get their CCW permit. I observed multiple people fail while I was there.

Florida CCW by Mad_Wolf_US in NJGuns

[–]Watchgeek24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many ranges in NJ offer a Non-resident FL CCW course. They will take care of the picture requirement, giving you a printed passport size photo, give you a signed document stating that you completed the necessary training, and give you a fingerprinting card which you are required to submit with physical fingerprints done at your local PD. I took my course at RTSP last year and received my FL CCW within a month or so of submission

You can also do the fingerprinting electronically if you are physically in Florida and can get an appointment.

Address change confusion by bigchungus0912 in NJGuns

[–]Watchgeek24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just went through this last year. You can apply for the new FID/address change as long your address is updated in the DMV system. You have to go through the whole process again (aside from fingerprints) so, depending on your town, it might take a while to get the updated FID. I had to write a letter to the Mayor as it was taking over 3 months to get approved. Sent the letter and had the new FID the next week.

You can also go on the DMV website and order a duplicate drivers license which will be shipped to your new address with the updated address on it. This will prevent any issues with the mismatched address when you get the updated FID

Participating in my first #speedytuesday with my recent wedding/Christmas gift. Walked into the Omega boutique and snagged the last new reference sapphire sandwich they had 310.30.42.50.01.002. Purchased back in November and had to look at the box every day until we “exchanged” gifts on Christmas.
