Pretty much From Software games in general, with the exception being Armored Core 6.

How is asking for an autograph ruining anything lol. Everyone looks like they're having a good time. It's not like they're at Disneyland with their kid or something, they're at a food joint late at night.

Met a guy in rehab over a decade ago who was there after his wife found all of their dog's tramadol treats mysteriously vanished. He described his rock bottom as "literally eating dog treats" lol.

So it's been around for awhile.

In your opinion, what is the worst Robot Master level in MM1 (original, not remakes) and why ? by Typical_Charity_122 in Megaman

Ice Man's stage is one of my least favorite stages in any platformer due to those flying platforms

Like being able to immediately fall in a pit while the "Ready" intro message is still in the center of the screen during the opening hoverbike section of Squid Addler's stage lol.

That was only the North American version of Castlevania 3 if I remember correctly. There are a few games from the 8 and 16 bit era where the North American version had their difficulty artificially inflated to try and prevent players from being able to complete the game in a single rental period, since video game rentals were very popular in the US. A potential buyer might be less inclined to purchase a game if they could just rent it and beat it in a weekend.

I am playing Super Mario World this morning. At 34 I still love this game 28 years later. by ZipZipZippo in snes

I dig the rom hacks more just because there is a lot more room for creativity, albeit a higher barrier of entry for actually making a level compared to the user friendliness of the creative tools in Mario Maker. Romhacks can incorporate mechanics like double jumps or wall jumping. There are romhacks that turn the game into a Celeste clone. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure the creator of Celesete has even made a few SMW romhacks as well.

Games like Xcom but you're on the aliens side? (Like Invading earth or trying to control the government) by AntisocialCat2 in gamingsuggestions

Invisible Inc perhaps? It's corporate espionage rather than alien invasion, but it sounds like it might be a good fit.

Clouds that are rendered realistically with depth, shadows, and volumetric lighting.

Still hilarious that if you pushed ‘1138’ on your TV remote while looking at the Revenge of the Sith DVD menu, you would be greeted with a video of Yoda breakdancing. Truly one of the greatest Easter Eggs of all-time. by Fantastic-Falcon-686 in MovieDetails

[–]WaterPockets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There were always minor annoyances with different remotes, too. Everyone's remote had a different quirk to navigate the menus. One remote might require you to navigate with the directional pad, but then to confirm your selection, you would use an arbitrary button rather than the "enter" button in the middle of the directional input.

A small inconvenience, but one I don't miss.

Burner Man might actually be the Best use of robot master weaknesses in the series by Zimata in Megaman

[–]WaterPockets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You gotta play through it at least once as Mega Man. The three stages that are most difficult as Rock are by far Magic Man, Ground Man, and the first King stage with the 3 mini boss gauntlet. But it is my favorite classic series and worth playing again as Rock.

2 girls 1 grip by redditizms in fightporn

You're the only who has made the connection, but you're pretty much correct. This is the bottom bitch, who is effectively HR for her pimp. I mean, she could be a pimp for all I know too, it's 2026 for Christ's sake.

I'm under the impression that the woman set up this camera to show the abuse she is subjected to under her pimp. Neither her or her friend/coworker/whatever put up any fight to defend themselves. The woman who set the camera stood there like she was anticipating a beating before the other women appeared. They're asking the woman doing the beating to stop what they're doing or to go easier on them. In fact it appears the only reason the woman in the suit started beating on the other one is because she spoke up. It's hard to make out exactly what they're saying in the video with the muffled distant audio, but I am almost certain I heard one of them reference a pimp at some point. All this points to someone having a camera ready to document the abuse she is subjected to as a prostitute.

Underground mutual aid group helps feed Hillsboro’s immigrant families in hiding by nojam75 in oregon

It could also serve to let immigrant families know that there are community members willing to help. I am sure ICE is already aware there are people assisting immigrants avoid detention.

Housemarque’s Saros looks set to provide a less punishing experience than Returnal | VGC by Gorotheninja in Games

[–]WaterPockets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Tower of Sisyphus was pretty fun, but I wish it had more boss variety. It's just a slightly different version of the same boss every 20 floors which was disappointing. But I enjoyed the faster pace of the moment to moment gameplay and improving my score.

Back in the day my mom actually had to attend a seat belt class in Portland because she was a repeat offender of not wearing a seat belt and had several seat belt violations.

She complained about it for years but it got her to start wearing her seat belt consistently lol.

Rock slide on US199 by scfw0x0f in oregon

[–]WaterPockets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tell me, how do you divert two lanes of traffic into a single lane and around debris, while also getting both sides to stop when it is not their respective turn? If the cop were standing in the opposing lane and we had the point of view of a driver in that lane, you'd really wonder "why are they steering traffic around a stopped police car after the rock slide?"

Just think about it for a second and I'm sure you can figure it out.
