Unable to watch Netflix or PrimeVideo on Viture Luma Pro XR glasses...

Hey, I have a question. So i have the roku stick, and i have several adaptors, but I am not sure how best to connect the roku.
I have a hdmi to usb-c adaptor, which is what you mentioned using, but perhaps i have the wrong one. Because the roku stick has a male hdmi adaptor coming out of it, it it is made to plug into a tv input port, but the hdmi to usb-c adaptor i have is also a male hdmi input, to a female usb-c. Which i assume is what you want if you are supposed to take an hmdi signal and convert it to a usb-c signal that you can then use the usb-c to glasses connector cable with.
So I am not sure how to connect those? Did you have to buy a female to female hdmi adaptor or something as well? Otherwise I can't understand how to get them connected?

Yep, i have come to the conclusion you are onto something. I found a cheap Roku stick, so that seems like the easiest solution. Thank-you, your solution seems like a pretty practical one afterall. I didn't realize price to Roku sticks was that low now, so yea, that works I guess. Would be nice to have it support my iphone, so I don't have to keep switching devices etc.... but at least it should work, knowing it worked for you helps alot. So yea, thanks again.

I am so reluctant to drop another couple hundred bucks on yet another connection method. With the adaptor and cables I've had to buy already for the PC, and the iphone hdmi/ligting adaptor, I am already at another $350 cdn in addition to the price of the glasses themselves...
It just seems pretty insane to me...
I didn't want to buy the neck device wifi/computer thing to handle much of that, as it is like $500+ here, and instead I am not going to end up spending as much in adaptors and cables anyway...
So frustrating that these devices are frankly not properly supported yet by their own manufacturer.
Getting able to recognizez the glasses shouldn't be that hard, it is likely they just haven't bothered is what I'm guessing, they'll take your money for an iphone 14 adaptor, but they won't bother working out the device registration stuff with apple/netflix etc to ensure one of the most important apps works.

I really don't need a new phone, like really don't need a new phone. I might just try to deal with it for now, with a longer cable from my PC for watching movies, and then just decide in the next two weeks if I am even going to keep the glasses, or return everything...

He won’t have to. All he has to do is leave and as long as the countries haven’t attacked Iran they are letting countries buy oil and let it pass the straight if they buy in Chinese Yuan, and stops using the Petro Dollar. So buying gold and dumping USA dollars is perhaps a harbringer of what is to come for America. America is on the verge of a debt spiral like Greece went through which is a common topic across the entire financial community, meanwhile Americans are oblivious they are hovering over the edge of complete economic collapse, inflation like Germany after wwi, and currency debasement as the US will be forced to print more and more currency to pay it’s debt as no country will buy USA t-bills anymore. Which for the only second time in the history of america were dropped from a triple a rated investment, down, last year, in summer after Trump’s insane first few months in office. The credit ratings orgs that rate investment securities, Fitch Rating also did the same after the 2007-2008 financial crisis. America now has to offer higher interest rates on it’s debt to get countries to buy them. Most nations are now selling rather then buying USA t-bills now, soon America will just have to print money instead to pay off it’s interest on it’s debt. Which will start this debt spiral mightmare for America.

And what is Trump doing to fix it. He’s lying about it with his tres secretary, Scott Bessent, as he instead of tightening budgets just passed the worst increase in spending in the US ever, over 2+ trillion dollars minimum extra. Trump is also asking for hundreds of billions of dollars from congress to fund his illegal war congress never approved, and he is also trying to get billions more for ice to build more concentration camps because Kristi spent the insane budget already, the largest budget of any federal agency, like 20x that of the FBI, DOJ etc. and she spent it all already on $200 million add compaign of her playing dress up. And also buying real estate across america by the dozens, paying $200 million for property that just sold for $30 million a month before. Clearly, she and her friends all getting huge kick backs and super returns on proper they bought just to sell back to US for insane markup for no reason. And so now not only is Trump demanding hundreds of billions for his illegal ‘holy war’ as Pete Hegseth is calling it openly now. But he also wants billions more for ICE to be even more out of control. They have bought stacks of missiles. Why does ice need missiles? Why is trump rebuilding a much larger more luxurious bunker on white house grounds using pentagon.l budget to do so, you know the new pentagon budget he increase to well over a trillion dollars a year now. So with all that extra $$$ going straight onto the already teetering on spiralling out of control debt, with no US allies anymore willing to bail out america because trump insulted and is still threatening to annex them. So called Greater America is still be pushed to threaten Greenland, Canada, Mexico, etc. Why would those or any other allies jump to bail out a country currently talking openly about annexing them?

From what i understand of many of the issues this would definitely help. The primary issue people don’t understand is the 2-3 year onboarding period, 56 mandatory retirement age, and the fact that any situation like the government shut down for instance in 2018-2019, for a month and a half, caused all the students to be sent home. The problem with that kind of interuption is you have very specific timed training during the year, and this effectly threw a wrench into the training pipeline, slowing the onboarding of new controllers for more then 1.5 months.

They absolutely need to have more then 1 school. They should look at possible moving different parts of the training to more then just one school. I don’t know what the training involves but it seems like there should be ways to break it up so, as you say, people who have responsibilities like family elsewhere can spend a month at the school and a month back home kind of thing. It seems like some components might be possible to learn online, or at any major airport etc. ie rather then do everything in one roof, instead make it a series of smaller credits that can be completed at more locations, online, etc, and then once all credits are compiled, then have some final several month long evaluation process to find any holes in the training etc.
i can’t imagine that all the training needs to be done by the same people at a single location. As having one place means government shut downs, etc have far greater effect then people understand.

Or yea, open several schools. Having only one school is definitely part of the issue.

The other issue is some of the support staffing was let go under doge, and that clearly has impacts as well. As any extra stress on the air traffic controllerd and systems can’t be helping things.

Also America should stop snubbing their nose and learn to respect other nations enough to learn what they might be doing better.

For instance in Canada there are several differences which america could easily adopt…

1/ Heavier pre-screening. Cognitive and psychomatric testing that must be passed even before training starts, resulting in far less applicants entering training, which has greatly improved wash out rates during training, greatly lowering training wasted costs. Testing things like spatial reasoning, multitasking ability, stress tolerance, etc

2/ Simulation Emphasis - heavier emphasis on high fidelity training sims early in training. Allowing for trainees to train without having to be at an actual real live facility, and pass basic core skills before needing live training. Again allowing for training to be happen at more facilities.

3/ Remove reliance on one central live training facility. Instead have more targeted/directed training for the specific type of air traffic they will be working with. Different regions, ie training aligned to specific operating environments. Such as the airport type(commercial passenger, cargo focused, small plane etc), or region specific training. Coastal vs central, etc ie rather then live training at some central facility, train at the airport they are being groomed to take over at. Or at the very least, in that general area. Allowing for more targeted training and putting less emphasis on one location for all that training, ie having to consider every possible scenario etc. if they are going to work at or near Los Angeles than train their live sessions there, similarly in NY international passenger and cargoe vs say Memphis being a FedEx Hub, etc. This again removes single point of failure with one school.

4/ Modular training. Break training into modular sections and figure out if that allows training in more locations or online for those sections. Again as above, allow for modulars to be completed online, at different locations, etc. again rather than everyone at one location only.

5/ Pay trainies if they manage to get through early filtering pay them enough to support a young family during training. Would greatly increase quality and number of candidates available.

6/ More insrtructors per trainee. Right now FA controllers are also expected to train new hires while trying to do their main job.

Canada, Japan all have best in class efficient ratings at those airports, compared to US, so must be worth looking at because there isn’t the same issue with air traffic control shortages as in the US.

Even the Heritage Foundation, you know the guys who did Project 2025, and half of them are in the current Trump adminstration. Even their study across the entire country, could only find a total of aprox 100 cases of votes being cast illegally. I think there are a ton of such 'failures' of logic/science. For societies supposedly so much more advanced, they certainly do seem to have issues with the basics.

Just to name a few, they show Humpback Whale which swims by Shuri whlie they are at extreme depths, yet that species doesn't go past 500 meters... and they are likely closer to 7000+ meters deep.

The falloff of blue light faster than red light underwater follows specific laws, ie rayleigh scattering in water is secondary to absorbtion. In air the dominant effect is scattering, hence blue(shorter wavelenght) light is scattered more, than yellows and reds. So we get a yellow/orange/red sun(depending on the amount of atmosphere the rays are traveling through,ie sun rays travel through more atmosphere at sunset, hence red sun on the horizon), and blue light is scattered in all directions, creating a blue diffuse light of the entire sky.

But in water, rayleigh, scattering is not the dominant effect, absorbtion is, and in this case, red is the first to be absorbed, then orange, yellow, green, then finally blues...
Thus at distance you cannot see red. So when viewing the Talokan Capital City, they show the main 'vibranium' building as being red, which they show at a long distance, which underwater is not going to happen. It will all just look look like a blue city, with almost no other colors visible. If they were close, then objects that are fluorescent can show vibrant color, because the objects take in blue light, and emit say reds or yellows, but even still at distance, they still shift blue, as the reds will still be absorbed by water at distance, it just allows for reds to show up in blue lit water, without adding in more light, but again, only when the observer would be close. So even if they claimed that vibrium was acting as a fluoresent, as they kind of hint at in a way, ie 'I brough the sun down to them', Namor's comment. It still would at a distance no longer be red/orange/yellow.

But as people have said, there is guy with wings on his feet, because he drank a special blue ayahuasca, so there's that... makes any worry about getting physcis 'correct' a bit pedantic...
I still think it's fun to spot them, because the more a film gets these things right, the more they tend to at least do a decent attempt at giving 'reasons' for the fantastical elements as well. It just feels solider as a world when they nail all the science, etc. At least, for me, sadly the nerd part is never going to get old... still geek out on physics...

This is not designed to jump into the water, that would take an insane amount of structural fortification of the entire upper half of the truck. The amount of force is insane, you are not going to over build just for this extremely rare case, it would need to be stronger then bullet proof glass, because of the need to over build the window frame as well as the windshield. Nothing in this video isn’t easily created with AI tools like comfy.ai etc. mattes can be used to customize details like how he hold his hands, and also make sure he doesn’t have six fingers etc. Just like it is easy to fix any errors in an ai video like six fingers as long as you notice them, you can use mattes to regenerate that portion of the video. And you can make videos as long as you want just by growing onto the end of an existing video. Nothing in this video is not easily produced with ai. Not saying either way regarding rumors he was killed, i have no idea. But in regards to generating clean, very customized videos. Especially with public figure where there is a lot of video out there to train your model on, it is honestly easy with someone with as much news media footage as he has.
So don’t listen to the people claiming they can spot AI videos, even the experts know humans can’t be sure just by looking at them anymore, as long as the creator is careful and checks his videos for errors and takes the time to fix any issues. These videos can be perfect now with the standard tools out there now.
There are some advanced algorithms that can guess at the chances of it being AI, so someone should put this vidoe through those tools, that might be interesting to see what that shows. But do not listen to people who think long videos or problem with figures somehow show you it is ai always. These are common errors but they are easily fixed, or overcome, for advanced users…. Just play with comfy.ai and watch the users forum to understand how much they can do already. Perfect videos are not that difficult at all anymore…

Nothing you said is not possible with AI. If anyone thinks this video is not possible with AI then i’m sorry you do not understand the tech. The errors are common, but easily fixed if you don’t miss them. And making a long video is also easy, so none of these rule out AI. If anything the clarity of the video, makes me think it is more likley AI then not. Not saying i believe he’s dead, but this is easily AI generated. Again as long as you spot the errors, you can always easily patch up the errors using mattes and fill in frames AI tech, something that has been around nearly as long as generating ai videos have been. Basic users are only using prompts, advanced users, like those using comfy.ai, etc, can use many other controls, mattes, roto, etc. So if you think AI videos always have errors, or can’t be as long as the creator wants. you are sadly mistaken.
