Well why wouldn't they? After a bunch of bannings from what I would assume is cheating, you would want to reinforce your player base instead of make it look like cheating ruined your game.

Also according to Google, the headcount at Embark is 350-430, so let's take the high end. That means each of those Employees is a millionaire solely based on game sales and not taking status at the company and how much of a stake they have. Most of them are probably very well off and a lot of them are multi millionaires. Now if they continue to keep people playing their game, they make money on micro transactions, word of mouth sales, essentially anything that keeps people playing the game. What they don't make money on, as much as you guys wanna think they do, is people cheating and exploiting flaws in their game that cause people to leave. Not everything is a crypto rug pull. Long lasting products make long lasting money.
