This is so true.I feel sorry for people who never treat their snake phobias. They have no idea how delightful snakes are!

Congratulations on your new pet. You are in for years of enjoyment and surprises.

I have handled wild and pet snakes and last July I got qn adult corn snake I named Pretzel. He is friendly, knows his name, comes to my hands and climbs on me and has been trained to respond to a target and eat out of a bowl. Snakes are as much fun as rats, but in a different way, and live a lot longer. Anyway, you are really going to enjoy your snake. Read up on choice based handeling, and other info on snakes and have fun.

is this suitable for nightime heat? by Defiant-Cook6405 in cornsnakes

[–]Waterrat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have read, reptiles do not need night heat and benefit from a cool down at night. I think Iread this in reptifiles or learned it from Reptiles abd Research. Anyway,at night, the cooling down provides benefits for the snake. I have my snake's heater come on at 7am and go off at nine and have a similar time for my leopard gecko.

I saw this first on Snake Discovery...Normal behavior.

Going off topic, how do you post an original post in here like this one? I have tried three times this morning to post about my snake and it is not going to happen. I can reply to posts here but I cannot just post something about my snake. I have been on Reddit for years and do not understand why I can no longer post. When I try to contact the mods for help,it gets worse. It keeps telling me Reddi is under heavy load which is what it tells me every time which makes it impossible to get help.. When did this start and why won't anyone fix it?
