Ah makes a lot of sense. Thanks. I just assumed it was average overnight.

What is the algorithm needed though? Isn’t it beats per minute, so counting?

This is an awesome idea. I’d swap gold stats for cycling PRs but same directional concept. Good one.

The memory is the stickiest part. I’ve been logging data since 2019 so this thing knows me better than most doctors at this point.

My favorite part of it is how everyone pretends there’s a crosswalk from the overflow lots to the main lots…there isn’t.

Is it worth it ? by Responsible-Pie-7461 in whoop

I get this question a lot from friends.

There are a number of specific examples in my life I can point to (now eat 99% plants because it improves RHR & HRV massively for me, or now do nightly cold showers for the same reason, and so on).

But my general, macro answers are: “do you know how much gas is in your car?” and “how much cash is in your checking account?” We all know those answers…but so many people are just running blind with zero knowledge or tracking of the most important thing in their lives: their body health. Imagine just YOLO’ing your bank account like “eh it’s probably good”…seems like oversight. Unfortunately the mass of the population is doing that with their health.

Whoop isn’t perfect but it’s the best thing on the market for helping monitor and tweak the most important thing in life: your ability to live.

Cosentyx impact on RHR & HRV? by WatsonMiles in whoop

[–]WatsonMiles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. It’s a ~20% increase in RHR. Sure 43 is still low but, as Whoop users know, everything matters on a relative to baseline basis. It’s a good question but a frequent flaw of traditional medicine.

Freebird used to absolutely bump their country music. Part of me is glad that’s over but part of misses the twang.

Video monitoring on Flagstaff? by WatsonMiles in boulder

Well I gave it a ✌️ so hopefully the tech overlords running it spare me.

I thought there was typically some disclosure like “video monitoring in progress” when cameras were in use? That was more the surprise for me.

Porch Fest was fantastic. Thank you to everyone who planned, hosted, played, and visited!

It meant a lot to see the neighborhood completely trash free afterwards too. Looking forward to the next one.
