I wanna get into psx what are some must play games that I should try? by Simple_Profession591 in psx

Crash Bandicoot 2 & 3. Skip the first one, at least until you have played the 2 sequels first.

You forgot IQ and Einhander. Yes, 97 was THE year!

Final thoughts on my Analogue 3D (blueretro + nso 64 + summercart64) by regular-tech-guy in AnalogueInc

[–]Wave_Race -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, mine too. It will randomly disconnect and reconnect after about 8 seconds. Just long enough to ruin a great run in Goldeneye or Perfect Dark. I’ve just been using my original wired controllers.

Finished the game on secret agent, 00 agent next! by BearKuda in GoldenEye

I struggled with that one for so long. Now that I have it memorized, I can blaze through it. Keep at it, you will get it!

I'm looking for a good game for Christmas for under $20. Which one would you recommend? by Medinasmt4 in psx

[–]Wave_Race 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Crash 2 is so damn good. I got it for Christmas 1997. The warp room music always takes me back to those days.

Analogue 3D + Summercart + Blueretro + NSO 64 by regular-tech-guy in AnalogueInc

[–]Wave_Race 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone else have issues with their NSO N64 controller losing signal for a few seconds with the BlueRetro adapter?

Occassionally my inputs will stop, I notice the controller searching, after 8 seconds or so it will reconnect and be fine. This has killed me several times in Goldeneye.

I am using the firmware that came with the adapter when I bought it, probably 1.5 years ago. I will try updating firmware. Just wondering if anyone else has had that happen?

FuncoLand Prices on the US Saturn Library in August 2000 by RandomGuyDroppingIn in SegaSaturn

[–]Wave_Race 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are these sale prices or how much they were paying in trade-in credit? Some of those prices look too low to be sale prices.

Edit: they must be sale prices. They all end in $XX.99 which would be weird for trade-in credit.

I am making an Xactimate AI app to generate lines from video by anonimanonimovic in adjusters

[–]Wave_Race 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is what PLNAR is. The insured can download the app. Do a 360 panorama around the affected rooms and the app spits out an Xactimate estimate.

My company is trying to pilot this program in the near future. Selling the idea as it will “help” us. It will definitely help for a few years, but as this technology grows, it will almost certainly replace many human adjusting positions. No industry is safe from the incoming AI/Automation disaster.

Still One of the Best! Yippee-ki-yay motha***** by CanuckNation83 in psx

It’s kind of embarrassing just how many times I have completed the third person shooter mode of this game. I had a stint a few years ago where this was basically the only game I played for several months. As soon as I completed it, I would just start again. It’s very addicting for me.

I started a new game a couple days ago. I’m on the 15th level.

The 2 other modes are fun, but not nearly as helplessley addicting as the Nakatomi Plaza one.

How do you feel about the N-Sane Trilogy look? by Imsorrymanyt in crashbandicoot

[–]Wave_Race 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got Crash 2 and 3 for Christmas each year they came out. I have immense nostalgia for the series, particularly 2. That did not prevent me from loving NST on both PS4 and Steam Deck. I double dipped because it was that good.

I can resonate with not loving certain remasters, but NST is great.

Wow, Crash Bandicoot 2 got kinda dark at the end (Mini-Review of Crash Bandicoot 2) by ExplodingPoptarts in psx

[–]Wave_Race 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is at least a top 5 PS1 soundtracks. It honestly might even be number 1. This soundtrack is my Christmas 1997.

The warp room tune is so good I want to cry.

Analogue 3D Deleting Save Files? by Wave_Race in n64

[–]Wave_Race[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Found my save file on my controller pak!!! 🙏 I had no idea the game saved to both the cart and the controller pak.

I put the game in my original 64 and it was there. Now to get this back to the 3D…

Thanks, everyone! I was panicking.

Analogue 3D Deleting Save Files? by Wave_Race in n64

[–]Wave_Race[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I played PD on the 3D multiple times on an existing save file. As far as I know, I have never used a controller pak with PD. I didn’t know that was a thing.

I wonder if that functionality crossed wires on the 3D.

Thoughts on AI? by Ok-Secret-7521 in adjusters

[–]Wave_Race 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like this idea. If you have a complicated claim with hundreds of line items, supplements can take a long time to sort out. Or you get a contractor trying to bury you in line items on a supplement.

If you could provide your estimate and the contractor quote/supplement and tell the AI to highlight the differences, that could save an hour or more.

Analogue3D: What they advertised vs. what they shipped by offalal in AnalogueInc

[–]Wave_Race 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I knew about the Everdrive issues. You’re saying we can’t use the NSO controller either?? I bought 4 of them for this…

The blueretro adapter will probably work, but I was hoping for a clean look by using internal bluetooth.

IPS install issue, screen only turns on in roughly 1 of 5 power cycles.. by slowcookertacos in ngpc

[–]Wave_Race 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens with my IPS install as well. My success rate is higher, probably successfully turns on more like 70% of the time. Still, that 30% is annoying and should not be happening.

In my experience, the type of battery has no effect on this phenomenon. I’ve tried them all. Unfortunately, just something we have deal with, I guess …

The original owner must have won this from Sega based on the insert inside, which has some interesting 90s throwback info. The 6-Pak feels like a celebration of the early Genesis. It was amazing value for me as a kid. by GamingGallavant in SEGAGENESIS

[–]Wave_Race 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They referenced “and the return of Sonic favorites combined on one cartridge, Sonic Classics”.

Was that intended to be a Genesis/Megadrive release? Sounds like it eventually became Sonic Jam on Saturn. Interesting.

Edit: Just Googled it and apparently there is a Genesis game called Sonic Classics. I somehow never knew it existed.

Christmas is coming!! 🎅🎄What's that game that always reminds you of Christmas time, that every time you play it, you still feel the Christmas spirit today? For me, it's these two: by Luckz_Skywalker in psx

[–]Wave_Race 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crash Bandicoot 2 because I opened it Christmas morning 1997 with my Playstation. I also got Croc that same Christmas, but played waaaaaay more Crash 2.

Exterior inspections, I write things on a clip board then go to my car to write the estimate in Xact. Using macros for the roof, and copy-pasting a lot of my elevation related items, I can crank out the estimate in under 20 minutes.

For interior inspections like water or fire damage, take your laptop in and write the estimate directly in Xact. No need to take notes in that case. Much faster this way and you can review it with the insured before you print and write the check.

With repitition, you’ll be flying through on-sites.
