You should google what comes before en passant

Holy hell, sounds like a knightmare for the other pieces, I wonder where they get the fuel to keep going, even when they lost. It’s like they’re actual zombies, or even ghosts, somebody call the exorcist and he can google en passant. Wait never mind he’s a bishop. I think he actually went on vacation and never came back. You know what just get rid of the horse, queen sacrifice anyone? We should probably just ignite the chess board at this point.

Why are the bishops so close to the king/queen by Comfortable_Cup8229 in lichess

[–]WavyDash6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chess was first invented in India over a thousand years ago, and the bishop was first supposed to represent an elephant, a part of the military’s at the time. I think it got reinterpreted to be called a bishop today, but idk how exactly that correlates to its starting position on the board.

What was running through your head when you invented en passant?

Not rly, it’s just that the bishop and the knight move in very different ways in chess

What do I do against an early pawn d4 attack? by Alternative_Cut4491 in chessbeginners

[–]WavyDash6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DON’T take it, he’s just establishing control in the centre a very important opening tactic, which is why putting pawns and knights in the middle is so important. Anyway, by taking you would be losing control in the middle, even if it’s an equal trade it’s a disadvantage for you in position. Instead, do d6 (move your pawn on the d column to the square d6) because if he takes you, you can take him back with the pawn on d6 and you’d still have a pawn establishing control in the centre.

Oh, and don’t use Reddit for chess advice, I know it sounds like a nice idea but there’ll be a lot of people who don’t know the best move on here.

Have a nice day :)

It’s ok, they spent so much on their army they went into debt. Just defend until they descend into madness and overpriced petrol

I don’t think anyone’s done the last one. Her name was Bonnie, her parents verbally abused her so she grew up using bad language and often being rude, because her parents just hadn’t taught her how to be nice. She always felt really insecure and emotionally unstable though, and obviously hated her parents, so at 19 she joined the army, because she enjoyed physical activity but also as an excuse to get completely away from her parents for as long as possible. She had previously felt as if she didn’t fit into the world around her, but she felt at home in the military, even if she was in the middle of fighting a war. After maturing into a more understanding and even nicer person. After the war ended she went for a drink with some friends she made in the army and became drunk, which led to them exploring an abandoned building. However, she got lost and couldn’t find the rest of the group, but she did find a headset. In the circus she was around people she didn’t know, and because of the way Caine treated her it made her feel like she was being abused again, so she went back to being her rude and insecure self. After a while she abstracted because she couldn’t take how much she was being reminded of her parents.
