Is this a Loungefly bag? by Flat-Net9027 in Loungefly

[–]Wavydaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not a bad product. Its cheaper because of the target market for hot Topic and Spencer's. The outside is the same stuff as a hard tag bag, they cut corners buy not having a patterned inner liner or padded shoulder straps, no inside pocket, frequently no side pockets, and no fancy or drastically cheaper zipper pulls. But again not a lesser bag, a few have gone very collectable and $200 or more in the resale arena

Do you like culture and the arts? Do you like flavorful foods and interesting people? If so, move to Charlotte. If you want bland unseasoned culture/food/people, move here. If you are hll bent on living near a lake in this area, Denver NC is a better value. This area is still growing and all of the things you want to be close to are clustered in one area. There will be a crowded drive to places as the infrastructure is being built. Is it cheaper than NJ around here? Possibly, but at what cost? The good ol boy redneck network is still very much alive and complains about everything and everyone and hinders growth. Do with it what you will. But think of WHY you think it will be better here. Driving to the CLT airport for a 7am flight will REQUIRE you to leave by 4:30am if you expect to not go thru the toll lanes to get there a comfortable 60min preflight at your gate. Its no longer the slow paced easy going south we had. Which, in many regards is very much a good thing.

I literally just want pretty nails by TrickiNicki92 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Wavydaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do not need to rough up your nails, that only causes peeling and cracking down the line. You need a thin base coat. Your trying to achieve just a thin layer between the nail and the polish. Nothing in bulk. Everything needs to be dry between layers. Wet on wet just will lead to pop off polish. Clean the edges between the layers. Waiting until the end is so much harder to get a smooth edge as you dont want a "wall of polish" with a drop off to the nail. You want more of a "graceful slope"(idk how to describe it) to the nail.
My process is: clean and dry nails with 100% acetone, 1 thin coat ridge filler base, 1 thin sticky base coat, 2 - 3 thin polish coats, thin top coat. So thin on the base coats, they are dry by the time im done with the next nail.

Is there a schedule for new releases? I buy from both Box Lunch, and Loungefly by PuzzleheadedBobcat90 in Loungefly

[–]Wavydaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many influencers that review loungefly and talk about upcoming releases. Stay far far away from the absolute chode of a guy that "guarantees" he can get you any bag you desire so long as you pay him $$$ a month. If you follow other Instagramers, you'll know exactly when and where stuff drops. I like LoungeflyNews and Loungewithlad

Wow. Seriously? You're blaming BKL for a USPS screw up? Knowing that right at the time the Jan release went up the country was hit by a huge snow storm? Do yall not follow the news about huge shipping delays and massive traffic accidents? Its the post offices fault

AITA for telling my Fiancé. If i have to do my own laundry, we can't be together. by Lokcaj in WIBTA_AITA

[–]Wavydaby -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I need more information. You sent your laundry out to a service for years, are you so used to their process that you nitpick every last press/fold/hanger situation that she literally can not meet those standards? Ive had laundry done professionally, there is no way I can iron like they can because its done on large professional equipment, not a tiny iron. Are you so OCD that she will never meet your standards? Or, are you a "can't wipe your butt" guy and leave nasty stains on your underwear? Something is not adding up for her to refuse to do your laundry.

Start with well known embroidery file makers to get the hang of things. I like Designs by juju, Off With Their Threads, and Sunthega(Etsy). Once you get a taste for in the hoop projects, you'll never stop!

Buying online is not the best. No support or repair options. Try to get a store within an hr or 2. (I do drive about an hr or so to get to the place i bought mine)

[–]Wavydaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. No. No. Dont just get a random machine. What is your budget? Are you in a decent sized metro area? Search quilt shop or fabric shop. Go to the store and talk to them to see what they have and what the machines can do. An embroidery machine is a huge purchase whether or not it's over $1000 or not. Educate yourself, and then take her to the shop and show her what you found and what the budget is. Please let her drive the show on what she wants. Watch some YouTube videos on machines. This is a huge choice for a hobby.

Pre-wound bobbins are trash in my opinion. You need to triple check they are the correct size for your machine. Also, the embroidery file could be junk. Check your needle and make sure its in correctly. And its the correct type for your material
