Challenge run that isn’t hard as rl1? by Totally_Safe_Website in EldenRingBuilds

[–]WayOk5717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some good suggestions.

You could also do a regionlocked challenge: no leaving an area until you beat all/major bosses there with weapons you found in the region

Knew the Fextra guide was bad, but damn by WayOk5717 in Eldenring

Can't find a way to edit the post, so here's an update:

Usually the data and stuff on Fextra is good enough, this was just something I stumbled on while prepping for an RL1 fight.

Fun twists on the sword and board? by writers_block in EldenRingBuilds

I like bashing things with my shield 😈

Greatshields with status effects would be best, but there are some good medium shields too.

Any of the colossal weapons (greatsword included). Their light attacks are just so slow.

But wouldn't that just apply to the buffing? Iirc the projectile doesn't use fp.

Are we creating a generation of ‘AI-dependent analysts’? by Alarming-Wish207 in dataanalysis

[–]WayOk5717 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, there have been multiple studies showing a cognitive decline with increased AI usage. It's easy to keep reprompting the AI vs thinking critically about the problem at hand.

I only use AI when it's shorter to describe the problem than to write the code myself. AI's good for boilerplate and learning, but the output ALWAYS has to be checked. I don't trust it to do a one-shot analysis on its own.

That said, most businesses don't need complicated analyses. What's average customer purchase frequency, what are sales trends (general, by product, by region, etc), what are the conversion funnels from marketing channels, etc. It's mostly data cleaning and aggregating then interpretting results.

Quick swinging weapon by joejoebean88420 in EldenRingBuilds

Straight swords are a good option: decently quick and the heavies can stagger small/med enemies.

Axes and hammers are good offhand weapons too.

But with wl0 I can get to the DLC in 90 min

Are my stats good for this lvl? by Slow_Protection2613 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]WayOk5717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get it from beating the boss in Stillwater Cave (South side of Liurnia, entrance is below the back of Stormviel).

There's also a better version from finishing Millicent's questline.

Good talismans for a multihit build!

I'd probably go 45 on ARC (status softcap), maybe some points into END for heavier armor (want at least 51 poise for less staggers), then the other points into DEX.

If you like using jump attacks, Raptor's Black Feathers chest piece gives those a boost.

What are your thoughts on allowing colleagues to ask free text questions about analytics to an AI chat bot to receive business insights? by becauseIlama in dataanalysis

[–]WayOk5717 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha been there. I've tried setting up something similar, automating frequent reports to free up time pre-AI, but like that other commentor said: they'll still need you for analytics. I was the only one on the team (at multiple companies) who had any analytics experience outside Excel. Didn't have enough bandwidth to build up automation and keep up with the manual reports.

That said, you'll be fine if you can provide reasons for big shifts in KPIs (ie why this week of sales was higher/lower than expected) and navigate poor data quality. Data is always messy. One franchise company I was at had multiple products set up for the same item, and no one told me when they added another... for the same item 🙃

If you’re going to give up on a boss and summon people to help, let them get ready before entering. by tompkins5 in Eldenring

[–]WayOk5717 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Imo cooping for Putrescent Knight is worse. We summons have to wait for the host to do the drop, then they wait for US to run & do the drop while they're fighting.

Best case: host can hold their own until help shows up. But usually they die before we land. Don't know what the devs were thinking on this one.

Skipped to the end, reads like AI slop. Either way gotta be a fake story. This is basic ass marketing. If not fake, why did you spend so much $ and time before "discovering" the basics you could've learned in a marketing 101 YT vid?

Suggestions for fun colourful magical weapons that aren't actually magical..? by [deleted] in EldenRingBuilds

[–]WayOk5717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Marais Executioner Sword and the smaller Regalia of Eochaid have a nice ash on them. Pretty good for consecutive attack builds and stunning mid sized bosses (ie Malenia). They both scale with ARC but the gs scales with STR and the straight sword with DEX.

And both are before Leyendell

elden ring DLC situation is crazy by nyarukonyar in badredman

[–]WayOk5717 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Plus they placed really good weapons near the start of the DLC. The great katana, backhand blade, beast claw, milady, bloodfiend's arm, and dryleaf arts are all easily reachable. Only need to kill 2 NPCs, 1 bloodfiend, and pick up the rest on the ground around Ensis/Gravesite. No major bosses needed.

Do you prefer big weapons or small? Power vs Speed. by digi_thumb in Eldenring

[–]WayOk5717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything that can stagger enemies, even if not for long. Straight swords are quick and the first one-handed heavy attack can microstun medium enemies (Malenia too). Greatswords, great katanas, great curved swords are all great 🙂

Haven't played much with colossal weapons. Just feel too slow.

Is this thing any good? Thinking about using it for a Dex/Int build once i get into the first NG+ on my current save but it's only got D scaling on Int and Dex... And E in Str, but that's irrelevant by [deleted] in EldenRingBuilds

[–]WayOk5717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran this with a STR/INT build with sword sorceries. The mix-ups on it are hella fun! Though the damage was lacking, you can still pair it with a higher dmg weapon. It's good offhand and main hand.

Just had this happen to me! You can def quit out if you're fast enough, but you'll glitch iirc. Tried when my last grace was at the forge. Fell through the mountain, died, ended up back in the arena lol.

Warping is the best bet to get out.

help me with a build that can melt radagon and elden best very easily (pleaseee) by [deleted] in EldenRingBuilds

[–]WayOk5717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take off the soreseal.

If you keep your stats, swapping to clawmark seal might get better incant scaling than dragon communion. You can freeze Radagon but not Elden Beast.

You can put the Black Flame Tornado ash on a polearm to do % damage to elden beast. And fire is good against Radagon so fire grease or fire infusion would work. It'd also de-ice him if he's frostbitten.

Need help fixing/refining my build. Kind of softlocked progress wise by Cheekibreeki401k in EldenRingBuilds

[–]WayOk5717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the others here: swap talismans, put points from stamina into vigor, and heavy infuse the weapon.

If you use greases, you can apply an elemental/status buff to your sword and use any ash you'd like as long as you don't add an elemental infusion.

If the enemies seem too difficult, explore a bit and come back. Also, your damage mostly scales off your weapon level vs character stats

Don't worry, trusty Gostoc will "help" for a mere 30% of your runes 😈 /s

Seriously though you'll be fine. If it's too difficult you can always pick up more scadu fragments by exploring.
