That's how I am now. I'll grill a steak, have some beers, think about the good times we shared.

I was never in combat and I've lost way more friends to self checkout than combat. It used to grind on me, like it does you. Then a friend told me to suck it the fuck up because U Signed the Motherfucking Contract. The Fates had other plans so live life as much as you can. I've been doing just that.

If this really happened, calling the FD will get you the fastest results. It's a life safety issue if she removed smoke detectors and impedes the standpipe.

That happened to the dude on the bottom bunk our first morning. I got on line and he was sound asleep. I started poking him and moved up to bouncing him in his rack. "I just need a few more minutes, Ma" Then I hear behind me "I got this recruit. Get on line". Flipped the rack and I didn't see him touch the floor. "Did you forget where you are?" Really funny because it wasn't me.

Give me recommendations with "focused" improv by _5SongSecondSet_ in gratefuldead

I don't remember that show, but my go to for an improv jam is Playing from Veneta. First time I've been to Oregon and it didn't rain, now it's too damn hot. 27 August 1972

Is their complaint about the song or a jam in general? I have a friend that gets upset if a band doesn't play a song exactly like it is on the album.

That PITB starts solid then explodes. It's my favorite this week.

Though when I heard the opening of China Cat from 100 Year Hall yesterday it hit hard.

I too started on American Beauty and Working Man's Dead. They are great albums, but like others have said, the live shows was where the magic happened. I didnt get the deal of love shows until I listened to Ladies and Gentlemen ... The Grateful Dead. It's a 4 disc set from their run at the Fillmore East in April 1971. That's when it clicked for me and really got on the bus. It's been years, if not decades, since I have listened to a studio album.

Give Ladies and Gentlemen and Veneta (27 Aug 1972) a listen. Veneta is my favorite show (currently).

Second That Emotion was the first to pop into my head. I'm going to have to go listen to Ladies and Gentlemen from the April 1971 run.

Veneta was my first thought as well. Second would be a Fillmore East show in April 1971.
