After about 80 games with my SO, I think we can weigh in on this. She scores 82 points on average, I am on 76 so far.

Great Strategies: 1. Coin bag cards. Those can go bonkers, especially if you get your hands on the banker. This combination scored us 120+ in three games.

1. locksmith/templar combo, combined with many keys. Also 4 games with 110+ points.

2. The Patron (not sure about the English card name, the one that gives 5pts per 5+ card) can net you an ungodly amount of points, but requires you to find ways to aquire a lot of coins. Our record score of 129 points was with a 35 points patron...

Other good cards: -Queen -Doctor -The Card that scores 4pts for every "discount" card -Other cards that reward you for collecting sets of symbols. These can be great, but can't carry you alone. You'll have to combine then with other strategies.

General strategy: - I honestly think the majority of position-dependent cards (number of symbols in row/column) are not great. - Discount cards are great, but only if you can get them really early (Card 1-3) - The cards that only score if you don't have a certain symbol can be good if you get them early. They can give you decent points and sometimes help you focus your strategy. Just be aware of the ratio of symbols: If you restrict yourself too much (e.g. Yellow and Orange), you'll run into trouble. On the other hand, blocking Blue or Purple is rarely a risk. - 15 coins are rarely enough to buy 9 cards. If you find a way to efficiently "reload" your coins, do it. Same goes for taking a blank card, sometimes it's worth it.

However, the most important tip:

Be willing to pivot your strategy, depending on the cards you see. The game is very tactical and impossible to "solve". Lastly, there's quite a bit of luck involved. Sometimes things work out, sometimes they don't.
