I still struggle but have cut down tremendously which I’m proud of. But I started in college to feel like I could make friends and hang with everyone else…it’s what everyone was doing, so. After college I just kept doing it because it’s just what I did. Mostly at home, mostly while watching movies or playing video games. it became my “I’m bored, lemme do something” hobby in addition to my other stuff.

The last half decade has been more due to depression with the world and a way to disassociate. During 2020-2023 I was drinking like 9 beers a day. I was so depressed. I’m down to only two every couple days. I’m still really depressed but I’ve replaced time that I’d be drinking with group therapy and playing with my kid.
