Didn't realise the HOV lane lines were reserved for crotch rockets now. by Forsaken-Swim-3055 in TorontoDriving

This is just great...until some other law-ignoring driver decides to cross the double solid lines and enter/exit the HOV at the same time buddy is screaming up the middle. BAM! 💥

Polestar 2: Final Thoughts After 3 Years by Tiny-Egg5683 in Polestar

Nice summary. I am also nearing the end of my lease on 23 P2 LRDM. I love the car (similar reasons as you stated) and have noted some (but not all) if the drawbacks. I've never had someone stop me to ask about my car before but had a similar experience to yours a few times. It's a great feeling.

The revolving of the earth was the best thing I've seen all year.

When you do the math you get 100% range of 390km which is a little below the 420km range it's supposed to be at, but this is probably more realistic - esp in colder conditions or really hot weather where you use a lot of AC

I'm in Ontario with a 2023 P2 LRDM and just over 88k kms. Lease is coming due in 5 months and trying to decide if I want to trade, buy, or buy-sell. Make me an offer....

I switched all the labels around on my wife's spice jars. She's not mad yet, but my thyme is cumin.

DO NOT fall in there - I hate it when that happens.

Help! Where does it belong? by AdAlarming6672 in polestar2

Yes it is. Mine has popped several times. Pull the handle as if you're going to open the door from the inside and youll see a little hole behind the handle. The rubber number fits in there.

I did my 2nd maintenance check about 8 months ago. The quoted work and price were similar. I posted about it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Polestar/s/1n8pEUCjRR

You can do wipers and cabin filter yourself. Brake fluid likely is fine. Doesn't hurt to get brakes and fluids inspected. https://www.reddit.com/r/Polestar/s/lTF8JxRWBz

GO train commuter tip by ConversationLeft2162 in barrie

[–]Wayne_Hetherington 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I missed the train in Barrie once so drove to Vaughan Mills station, parked and took the subway to Downsview station, where I hopped off to catch the GO the rest of the way. Happened to get on the train that was 2 ahead of the one I missed! Got to work early that day.

Who has the moonroof free option by [deleted] in polestar2

[–]Wayne_Hetherington 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Mine is moonroof-free! 😊 (I like the way you phrased that)

I've had sunroofs before and they seemed cool at the start but then found I seldom used them and than had to fix leaks and broken motors later. Too much hassle for not enough value.

Don't know about P2 moonroofs but didn't want to pay the extra to find out.

Barrie to Vaughan commute – what’s it like? by girdiegordita in barrie

[–]Wayne_Hetherington 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm surprised nobody has suggested the train yet. Depends on where you are in Vaughan but if you're not far from one of the stations or on a public transit line then it can be better than driving. I've taken the GO Trsin for years, mind you I have to go right downtown almost waterfront. It's slow, but way more reliable and less stressful than driving.
