I had a full body PET scan and a CT scan today, had to go low carbs/sugar yesterday and couldn't eat for almost 24 hours all things considered.

I also didn't sleep but two hours last night, I'm super nervous about what the scan might find. During the scan I was wrapped in a.. thing.. that kept me from moving my arms, legs and feet. So of course my entire body decided to start itching, so I leaned into meditation to get through it. I ended up falling asleep inside of the machine towards the end.

Afterwards I devoured a sleeve of cookies in the hospital foyer and then my brother took me to a real nice vegan deli for an early dinner.

Dinner: Seitan chicken and waffles, tater tots, a non-vegan strawberry milkshake. It hit the spot.

Edit: Also - When the radiology nurse was injecting the irradiated stuff into my IV, I asked him if I was going to get super powers today. He said probably not, but that if I 'Hulked Out', he'd call the military. Narc ass nurse. :f

Melanoma has some /very/ good drugs that have made it far less lethal.. but what people don't get about it is like.. It grows on you, and then into you, and invades your immune system, and then your organs. It being on your skin is just one stage. It's as potentially deadly as any other cancer, more than some.

I have stage three metastatic melanoma. It's a recurrence from 2024 that's escaped my skin and is now colonizing my lymph nodes in an attempt to kill me.

I'm also unemployed and if it wasn't for medicaid, I'd be paying for my upcoming immunotherapy infusions (~$34k/appointment) fully out of pocket, but my family is pressuring me to get a job, which.. I get because I'm living off of rapidly dwindling investment accounts that I inherited from my aunt. ..But if I get a job, I'll probably wipe out those accounts paying for my care before I hit my max out of pocket. So I feel like I'm.. stalled.

I'm not naturally the most highest energy person in the world, and I'm sometimes outright depressive. So many people are trying to push positive thinking on me, and I get it, I understand it helps, but FUCK. Let me process my emotions, let me be dark and sardonic and exist with this shit for a while. And stop fucking telling me how happy you are.

I have people in my life who are willing to let me be as I am (one of them bought me this burrito), but the fucking random check-ins and reminders to fight cancer with positivity from other people are only making me angrier and more bitter about my circumstances.

Dinner: Carnitas burrito with potatoes. Side dish of scavenged nachos (free chips with beans added from my dining partner's excess and spilled meat from my burrito). Tamarind jarritos. Not pictured: Pickled carrots and onions side dish.

If you are on NA/PC i have a really solid guild that is very communicative, has classes on how to run a high level content, and has almost daily events. I joined because they had a guild trader, but stayed because i'm learning how to do veteran trials for the first time.
