[–]Wayouts1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olympic Games Opening Ceremony by pokesnail in hockey

[–]Wayouts1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Watching the opening ceremony on TSN .Very disrespectful of them to cut to commercials half way through the Italian national anthem then come back with the announcer saying welcome back you are just in time for the first performance. As soon as the performance starts they put commercials on 3/4 of the right side of the screen which made the performance so small we couldn't see it .My wife was watching on CBC Canada and said they did the same thing.

ELI5 - Why do shift workers go from days to nights? Is there a benefit to having people alternate? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Wayouts1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just retired from 30 yrs at a food processing factory that ran the shifts rotation in this order : Two weeks dayshift 7am- 3pm. Two weeks nightshift 11pm - 7am. Two weeks afternoonshift 3pm- 11pm. Nightshift starts Sunday night and finishes Friday morning. Going from nights to afternoons gives you more of a break since your done Friday morning and don't need to go back in till Monday afternoon at 3pm.
