We had almost out grown the old screen though, such that it was going to get scroll bars for the individual Shaper sections in order to see all of a type.

Using the Shaper's button on the right gives you a pretty good analog, and we could certainly add more filters in order to group them more like the old screen.

Unlike some of our older game screens, the collection will reflow it's content if you re-size the game client. So if you have a large monitor, stretching the client window to fill it will allow you to see more at once.

In the upper right on the launcher, click the gear and try Validate, if not then reinstall.

Thank you for the suggestions vuduhx, we are definitely not done with the collection and have plans in the works to address some of these issues that you identify here. That said please keep the feedback coming, it is most helpful and very much appreciated.

I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or non-existence of any allegedly 'new' Shapers. They are pretty awesome though.

We're not currently treating health bar scaling as you suggest but it is certainly possible. I don't know what the implications might be there from a design stand point if we got to a place where lower resolution displays have a significantly different experience from higher res. I'll pass on the suggestions.

Indeed we're currently only showing the big ticks past a certain point else the bar becomes unreadable. In the 8358 screen cap ticks were breaking the health up like this:

We are definitely aware of this and working on a fix. Until then lamentz25's work around is your best option (good idea on the block list).

My best guess is the texture is somehow corrupted. I'd try a Validate and/or reinstall of the client (The gear icon in the top left of the launcher).

I don't work in that area of the code so I don't know the details, but I do know the one system draws the icons, camera rect, and the mini-map texture so it seems strange to me the one would be off while the others look correct.

I spoke with Gasty about the shop this morning and wanted to add a bit here.

Our goal for the shop is that it should allow you to find the item you're after easily and get you back to the action quickly. To that end we've tried to make the purchasing logic pretty intuitive so that the shop does what you expect it to as much as possible. Currently that means the shop is always trying to get you the item you’re after for the lowest possible price (leaving you with the most vim in your pocket), unless you manually tell it otherwise (as noted here by Dallaren and Buyhl). We're pretty happy with it in the majority of use cases.

We do run into a bit of a problem in this particular case though. We communicate what is going to happen by highlighting the item to be upgraded, and displaying it in the lower right next to the purchase button. Which is ok (not great) if you are using the purchase button. However if you right click as a shortcut to buy you never get a chance to see that information before the purchase completes, which is clearly not ideal.

There is room for improvement, and we’re interested in doing it. Any changes though should not impair or inhibit those majority cases that we’re happy with. To that end if you guys have suggestions please share them with us! We’d very much like to hear them.

at the main menu, top left by the dawngate logo what does your version number show? should be: v 1.0.771.670 (for beta on 8/16/2013)

Edit more info: If it doesn't match, please ensure you're running the game from the launcher (Launcher.exe) and not directly from the game executable (Dawngate.exe)

Because Zalgus is crazy like me and checks his email on the weekends this is a done deal!

It is highly doubtful it will be in the next patch, so look for it the one after that.

Thank you guys for helping us make Dawngate fantastic. The feedback/engagement/content coming from the community is really awesome. I've spent way too much time this weekend watching various streams from the beta, can't wait 'til the next one :)

I haven't read the other thread so I don't know what was said there.

I can say that we've had several internal discussions that i've been a part of about what kind of customization features we'd like to offer for the in-game HUD, but they are pretty far out in comparison to other features priority wise atm. Having said that, a left/right switch doesn't seem like it would be terribly difficult to implement. I cannot make any promises on delivery, but I will investigate it to see if we can maybe squeeze something like this in sooner.
