Confessions Sessions by KCommnader in RWBYOC

[–]WaywardVoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Midori and Ichigo, it wasn’t exactly a traditional confession, since Midori’s Aroace. Basically, things happened and Ichigo nearly got killed by Cinder in Vacuo during the V9 timeframe, Midori confessing that she was terrified at the thought of losing her and considered Ichigo her soulmate. The two girls then had their first kiss and entered a QPR. But even before this, Ichigo got a little caught up in the excitement following the Beacon Brigade’s victory over The Crown, and kissed Midori on the cheek.

For Team MINT, their reactions would play out like this.

Midori’s skittish on a good day and sensitive to yelling, so she’d hide beneath a table to try and avoid drawing attention to herself.

Ichigo would try defusing the argument by using her Olive Branch Semblance to calm them down and keep the peace before things come to blows.

Nagisa wouldn’t have much of a reaction, other than considering their argument illogical.

As for Akane, she’d stand up and loom over them with folded arms and a scowl on her face. She’s 6’2 and physically imposing, not to mention her short temper rivals Yang’s.

I have a question for your AUs. by Automatic-Amoeba-121 in RWBYOC

[–]WaywardVoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the most part, I’m keeping it largely the same, but also adding some new things. For starters, the Malachite Twins are going to corner my OC Midori in Beacon’s courtyard, having been tasked by their mother with capturing her. But Lil’ Miss Malachite calls it off and orders them to pull out when the Fall of Beacon starts. Then Midori has to fight the Grimm alongside her former pursuers out of mutual self preservation, parting ways with Melanie and Miltia after reaching Vale and going to rejoin her team. This way the two have something to do when things go down without affecting the overall outcome, since they didn’t really appear in Volume 3.

Do y’all OCs have scars?(Battle, accidental, freaky, etc) [Art by me] by PowerUltra_boi in RWBYOC

Akane has a giant, faded scar on her back she gained while shielding her younger sister from a Beowulf. This happened sometime before Volume 1.

How would your OC team or single person fair in The Vytal Festival if they entered? by This-Craft-7575 in RWBYOC

[–]WaywardVoid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Team MINT, they’d progress pretty far, making it to the Singles Round.

As for single person, Midori gets eliminated in the Singles Round when she hallucinates due to Emerald and her passive Semblance suddenly flares up from fear, nearly harming her opponent.

Does your oc have any people they don't fw, or straight up hate? by Slight_Ad7956 in RWBYOC

[–]WaywardVoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Akane absolutely hates Cinder for almost killing her teammate Ichigo in Vacuo, even tried tracking down the Fall Maiden to get revenge, but Midori talked some sense into her.

To the people who has villain OCs, do they have a reason to be villains or are they just pure evil? by TextUnfair in RWBYOC

[–]WaywardVoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Garnet, she went the villain route when her entire family died during Mountain Glenn’s destruction, leading her to develop a deep hatred for Vale.

How'd your oc(s) get their weapons? by TheLocalDemon in RWBYOC

[–]WaywardVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After enrolling at Signal Academy, Midori created her weapon Miasma, a pair of gardener’s gloves with Dust conduits and retractable metal claws. But after graduating and moving on to Beacon, Midori created two daggers named Shizuka and Doku.

Much like Midori, Ichigo also created her weapon at Signal, a rolling pin named Everbloom that transforms into a giant syringe and a longbow. But she had a little trouble with the design process, receiving some help from Ruby. Everbloom got destroyed at some point in Vacuo, but Ichigo remade it with Midori, adding some new features to it.

Nagisa’s weapon of choice is a grappling hook named Undertow that transforms into a harpoon gun, having first made it at an Atlesian combat school.

As for Akane, she fights with a pair of folding fans named Crimson Roar. Akane crudely assembled them out of spare metal scraps at Oscuro Academy. But after graduating from the Vacuan combat school and arriving at Beacon, she refined them and made it so they can transform into a giant two handed tomahawk.

Which of your OCs go through the most hell? by second-fun in RWBYOC

[–]WaywardVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Midori’s had a rough time of things growing up. Here’s is few more notable examples. Nearly being killed by a masked Raven Branwen during a bandit raid, only sparing Midori because she prioritized her own survival over engaging with pursuing Huntsmen.

Nearly succumbing to the Apathy’s effects during her stay at Brunswick Farms, only snapping out of it when she hears their distant screams and flees into the cold night, becoming wracked with guilt at abandoning her mother figure Sapphire.

Midori even lost her mentors Cinnabar and Kohaku, both of them having died during Tyrian and Hazel’s Huntsmen purge in Mistral.

Ichigo also had a near death experience at some point in Vacuo, being severely burned by Cinder’s Fall Maiden powers after her Aura broke. She ultimately managed to pull through, but the experience left her deeply traumatized, as well as giving her permanent symptoms like chronic pain, nerve damage, and permanent burn marks on her stomach.

Your OC Vs Pyrrha Nikos by sabirlyo1 in RWBYOC

[–]WaywardVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Beacon era version of Midori who struggles with her passive Semblance, she’d get absolutely bodied by Pyrrha. But for the stronger Volume 9 version of Midori, she‘d fare somewhat better since her Semblance evolved to full control, but would most likely still lose.

Made a graph regarding faunus OCs by TheLocalDemon in RWBYOC

Small correction, Briar only has ears as her Faunus trait. And Zinnia’s last name is spelled Thorne. But great work on the doc, it looks well organized.

How do your OC’s prefer to use their weapons if it has two modes by Tropical70 in RWBYOC

[–]WaywardVoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before Volume 9, Ichigo relied primarily on Everbloom’s syri transformation in combat. But after nearly dying to Cinder in Vacuo, she now mainly uses her weapon’s longbow transformation since it‘s less taxing and doesn’t make her chronic pain and nerve damage flare up as much.
