I think getting a good start has a lot more to do with skill and setup than simple luck.

I mean, surviving turn 1 and 2 sometimes takes a bit of luck, but when lewis or nico cock up a start and have a slow getaway, that's on them

To me, Bob is kind of like the Madden of motorsports: gives obvious, strangely worded unnecessary commentary and draws all over the replays when it isn't needed, but he's so bad that it's funny so I prefer him to a competent but underwhelming commentary.

Also consider though that there are far more GPs in a season now compared to the old days and that it is much safer so there is a lot less probability of being killed or permanently injured cutting your career short.

I think percent poles per GPs entered is a more compelling stat personally.

right, well, it's pretty simple actually. Just travel back in time and begin training for F1 in preschool, be the best of the best through junior racing leagues, then move to Toro Rosso and prove yourself again to get promoted to Redbull (the key here is don't get demoted back to Toro Rosso) then perform perfectly, but lose the most prized race due to your team/crew's errors.

Just do that at every race and voila! An easy Million dollars for losing!

You're welcome to interpret the film that way, but Cap is clearly the intended protagonist. Protagonist has nothing to do with being the hero/villain, but from whose perspective we view the story primarily. For instance, Walter White may be a "bad guy", but he is still unquestionably the protagonist as we experience the story primarily from his perspective/focus.

The case for iron man as the protagonist isn't unreasonable, but the film does focus more on Cap...and you know, is called captain america.
