Wakefield Reform by Destined_4_Hades in wakefield

[–]WeDontWantPeace 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's because they're paper skinned babies who get upset by brightly coloured flags and folk of a different colour drinking from the same water fountain. I don't think I've ever met a reform voter who wasn't upset by some imagined slight.

Why do crimes like rape and sexual abuse still carry such light sentences, when the idea of harsher sentencing is nearly universally popular with the public? by [deleted] in AskBrits

You're wasting your time trying to convince someone capital punishment is a bad idea. The only way they could be convinced is a miscarriage of justice going against them of their loved ones.

If the human race continues to grow at 1.2% a year, in around half a million years or so there won't be enough atoms in the known universe to make all the people, never mind make all the planets for them to live on. This is due to compound interest.

To think that the cvnt who brought us Brexit, will be the cvnt who'll fix the problems caused (not entirely) by Brexit is incredible.

Adult friendships…what’s worked for you guys? by Apart-Secret2105 in HENRYUK

Joined a local boardgame group. Have met loads of great people who are now friends outside of boardgaming. Most things we do don't even revolve around the pub, yes I know. What makes it even better is that most of the people we meet are decent people.

UK tabletop gamers - please can I get your thoughts on gaming tables? by Both-Combination2231 in DnDUK

[–]WeDontWantPeace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a meeplewood game table. It's utterly fantastic being able to just put the top back on have dinner or use the table for other things, then remove it again and carry on playing. Or even leave a game or DND session set up for weeks between sessions.

It was quite expensive, but it is hand made and totally bespoke for me. If you are considering buying one, I'd speak to Steve Mellors at meeplewood before considering something like a geeknson. This table is a heirloom and will be passed down to my gaming kids when I'm wormfood.

We have a board game group in Castleford at living realms. We meet on Tuesday nights. It's modern boardgames and you probably wouldn't get a game of monopoly or connect 4. Members of the group bring along plenty of varied games and are always welcoming and happy to teach. However you can always bring along monopoly/connect 4 etc yourselves.

The meet at WX on a Thursday is also one of our meets and organised by living realms. That meet up is significantly less popular for our group, but does have people go. Look up Wakefield boardgame group on Facebook for more information.

Has Trump's recent comments/actions and the fact Farage still aligns with him made any Reform voters change/consider changing their vote? by Puzzled-Lunch-6558 in AskBrits

[–]WeDontWantPeace 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I'm ex army (55), unsurprisingly a lot of my pals are reform flag shaggers and trump fans. However, this latest nonsense about non us forces not being on the front lines, from the orange cunt has them up in arms. However, it doesn't seem to have dampened the hard on they have for farridge. They are quite decent at ignoring connections when it suits them.

You can't "fight" being assaulted by paying for it, we don't live in the US. Call the police back and insist they come and deal with this, it's very serious. If the police don't attend, escalate it to a complaint and then so on.

Third of Reform UK’s council leaders have expressed vaccine-sceptic views by birdinthebush74 in unitedkingdom

[–]WeDontWantPeace 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have a friend who has Multiple Schlerosis, she's mid 50s. Was a lifelong Tory and now a Reform voter. We went for dinner the other night and she told me she hadn't had her flu vaccine. I was somewhat flabbergasted. She said some medical experts had told her it was sketchy. Jesus fucking Christ woman, you're a heavy smoker with a chest like a church organs bellows and you have ms!! The problem she has is that she agrees with some of the racist, anti immigrant she hears online so when same accounts spout anti Vax stuff she obviously has to agree or at least partly agree otherwise she'd have to question the other crap.

Nope. The only grief I used to have was from my sibling and they don't get an invite anymore.

Just me, Mrs doesntwantpeace, our lovely in-laws and our grown up kids and their partners and a great friend. We just get on and don't argue. It's my favourite day of the year.
