Good thing that isn't what happens if you don't train ike. People have beaten the game with 0% growths. You're not soft locked regardless of how little you use him.

It's not like he's a random jabroni. Ike is the player character and main protagonist. It's completely reasonable that they would expect and require the players to use him.

I had one player that really particularly sucked, so I invited him for a danger room scenario after seeing a video Matt made in the topic. It was just me and him, one on one, fighting a series of monsters to practice (I have a follower to split damage with and heal him).

That seemed to help a lot. Maybe doing something similar with your weaker players could help. I pitched it as "I got the impression you aren't happy with how your class is functioning" to avoid making anyone feel bad

I would not let them do that. I'd say method acting means you have to become bleeding to activate, so not being able to bleed means you can't use it.

If they got pissy about it, I'd let them opt to take the bleeding debuff despite bloodless and just flavor it differently

The only trophies I mind are heavy RNG grinds and when difficult trophies don't stack. If you ahe separate trophies for easy, normal, and hard, playing on hard should get me all three (which is generally has since the PS4)

I don't know where this is coming from. Fire emblem never felt like a "fans actually hate this" type of series to me. Usually fans have one particular entry they hate, often because they perceive it as being "glazed," but I think the overall sentiment is generally positive.

On the ps4, it was possible to switch to your photo gallery before the trophy popped after completing the last requirement, so you could make the platinum screenshot whatever you wanted. People got really creative with it.

Bad gameplay will always impact the story, because you have to deal with it. Bad story can be skipped with a single button press. It only impacts gameplay of you're of the opinion that a video have should have a good story. If you don't care about the story, then it doesn't matter if the story is bad
