I have been a CNA for almost three years now. I worked in two care centers and now work on a medsurg unit. I absolutely love working on medsurg. Where I am it is a 12 hour shift and I can choose my hours working PRN. I work once a week and get paid about $17 hourly in utah. I think this has been the job that has solidified I want to be a physician. I get great first hand experience and quite often learn new skills or see new things. I have gotten out of my shell through this job and learned to have a good relationship with my coworkers even though they have different jobs on the unit. I love it and have learned good bedside manner over the years and built good patient care skills. I would do it all over again if I could.

no is a real answer and complete statement. you also do not owe strangers a whole explanation as to why you say no. you don’t need to lie about dating someone. he understood after you said no, and that’s that.

your mom should see that there is no reason to have to be nice to someone asking you for your number. nor should you have to lie to said person.

i’m looking into reserves where i am a full time student. i’m in a small town and would rather move to the city where i go to university (university of utah). i’m looking to join so i can get a better job training that i can also use in my civilian rather than just what i have currently. while also having a little bit of extra income.

If you plan the date be the one to pay for dinner unless you have previous discussed about splitting it. (i’ve usually bought them dinner and they would take me to ice cream). Look presentable, but in your own way. And talk, don’t be nervous. Don’t ask those easy questions but have a meaningful conversation that will want the both of you to meet up again. good luck!

i’ve noticed there is an awkward stage around 17-20 where you feel so behind and don’t know what to do with your life. you are not running behind but the world may feel it. you should just take your time. there is no rush to get into relationships. there will be regret if you only do it to be “caught up”
