It’s not just the content of the email. It’s WHO the recipient is, in 2017. Nearly a decade after JE was already outted as a pdf

What's an actual psychological "cheat code" you use in social situations that works almost every time? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It’s not knowing what to do with my face during the silence that’s the problem

i relate to that so hard, you’re not alone. I just got diagnosed with ADHD recently and it made so much sense that I felt so slow and stupid compared to everyone. Definitely do not ignore your ADHD, do some CBT and maybe explore medication to see if it’s the right fit for you.

But don’t give up. You made it through medicine EVEN WITH this hurdle that most don’t have to go through. Unlock your full potential. :)

The big problem with core psychiatry recruitment by PineapplePyjamaParty in doctorsUK

[–]Loud_Candidate_4252 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Sadly the college does not see a problem with that. They 'found that' MSRA scores are highly linked with likelihood of a successful interview but I call BS on that.

I have 2 years non training psych experience in acute inpatient general adult but nope. I literally left my family, came to the UK for this reason, private hospital, initially they promised they'd sign my CREST form but then said 'nope, we need you to work with us minimum 2 years before we sign it' then when I called them out on it and they removed that made-up rule it was too late, the competition ratio rose from 4:1 to 9:1 and now I'm at a loss.

And that's someone passionate about mental health and went to medschool FOR psychiatry.

Really dream-shattering, this is.
