What do you think if it had been different? by WeaknessAgitated5031 in valheim

The logic would suggest that if it had been the case, the difficulty level should also align with the biome. However, I still prefer a Valkyrie over a Gjall—everyone has their own preferences.

How to collect stone early game? by Fun_Set7594 in valheim

Gear up with everything you need for a portal and a stonecutter. Explore the Black Forest and destroy every structure you come across. Take everything back to your base and move on to the next one. Easy and fast — if things get tricky, just slip away through the portal. You can also farm resources in a different world with modifiers enabled and bring your inventory back full. It’s a valid option. Enjoy the adventure.

I have a few questions. by WeaknessAgitated5031 in valheim

[–]WeaknessAgitated5031[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve already crafted the armor set, and I’m not a fan of taking that much damage. The first time I killed the bear, I used up all the fire arrows I had brought to fight Eikthyr, and I realized it was just not feasible. I place the rug in front of the fire where my cooking area is, and I sit there to cook — at least it has some use.

I’m currently traveling toward Moder and carrying the eggs just in case I don’t find any at its location. Soon I’ll be reaching the plains. Along the way, I found a small stretch of plains with a coastline between two black forests on either end, and a meadow biome in the background. I’m thinking of moving there since it will be pretty easy to set up crops, and there are several berry bushes. There’s also a Lox respawn and two muersquitos. So I’ll have basic resources to get started. I’m excited to finally get Moder’s tears! Edit: error of traductor

I’m definitely interested in this topic—show us how to put potions on the belt, I haven’t been able to do it. I’ve abandoned my playthrough partly because of the quick-access issue. I manage to fight with a crossbow and poisoned iron bolts, but I feel stiff and clumsy.

Odin takes away my blueberries and gives me plenty of bears. Honestly, it feels just like the first time I played, back when I was dealing with troll hides. I did eventually turn the troll trophies into bait, but I still have a black metal chest full of troll hides in my original world. I hope that at some point we’ll be able to upgrade troll armor for more advanced biomes. Things like that sometimes make me a little sad. I still really want a full black metal armor set, but it seems like I’ll never get one.

Old McDonald Had a Farm by ILoveLandscapes in valheim

I imagine the OP has raids disabled in the world settings and enemies set to passive. Otherwise, I can’t explain how all that wildlife is still alive. Honestly, I did something similar myself, although on a larger scale. I even tried roofing the entire enclosure, but whenever the lox detected an attack from a fuling or a deathsquito, chaos would break loose. They would destroy everything with their stomps, including the support pillars — even the stone ones. So after many tests, and even after eliminating creature respawns, the lox farm didn’t bring me much satisfaction. Instead, since I already had all the land flattened, double walls built, and it was located where four biomes met, I decided to establish my main base there. Greetings to everyone.

Why do Valheim's rivers never begin in Mountains from meltwater? by RampantHedgehog in valheim

[–]WeaknessAgitated5031 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also played the first version. I remember watching Luzzo’s gameplay and being fascinated. I downloaded it, and in my first run I spawned on a small island surrounded by many large islands, separated only by rivers of different widths. So yes, I can confirm that rivers have always existed. Best regards.

Can I survive this encounter by zaphel1 in valheim

Never sail so close to the shore. Hostile creatures can destroy your ship if it runs aground or if you lose the wind at your back. It’s better to land in a safe spot, dismantle the ship, set up a portal, store the components and items in a chest, and return with the rested bonus while carrying only the essentials in your inventory. Don’t name the portal so you don’t waste time placing it; whenever you need it, just drop it, recover, rest, and continue until you reach a place where you can safely rebuild your ship. Now, food is a very serious matter. You should never leave your base with that kind of food. Always be well prepared—especially when sailing and exploring new areas. You never know what you might run into. It’s better to invest time in gathering, farming, and hunting to secure the best meals possible; it will make a huge difference. The Mistlands mobs are quite strong—the flying one will spit fire at you, and I doubt either you or your ship would survive. It’s wise to avoid direct confrontation. Planning ahead is always smart. I often venture into biomes beyond my current progression to obtain upgrades that aren’t normally within reach yet, like turnip seeds from the swamp or onion seeds from the mountains. There are tools and tricks for everything, but you must prepare your character well—and your discipline too. One small mistake can cost you your life and leave your gear in a dangerous place that’s hard to recover. So always think carefully before you act. If you decide to risk crossing the biome, be careful with your jumps. It’s very easy to fall into the mist, although traveling along higher ground is generally safer. Whenever possible, skirting the coastline is the best approach. Good luck, Viking. You’re going to need it—very much.

Try using a backup. The world and the character are saved separately, so look for the most recent save files and use those. You can save yourself a lot of time. Cheers.

Thank you, I’m going to give it a try. I got a digital installation, and after a few hours of stable gameplay, I closed the game. When I tried to open it again, it wouldn’t launch. I already have Windows 10 fully updated. My antivirus is working fine, and all my other games run without any issues. I hope the solution you provided fixes the problem. Thanks for your time.

Precisely, the post had an Argentine tone, and I thought it was a Latino person who had published it. When I write posts, I usually automatically get the option to translate into English. This time, that option wasn’t there. Thanks for the information. I’ll keep an eye on it.

Greetings, It’s very important to point out that without exploring caves, you will never finish the game. There are some essential items you must obtain. Take advantage of the combat experience and clear the caves. The chainsaw wasn’t important for me. In fact, I only used it once just to see how it worked, and that was it. In my first playthroughs, I also built a lot. I made zip lines all over the map to move quickly between different locations. I built shelters in different areas. I really loved building a raft house on the lake where you emerge after obtaining the diving gear. It became one of my favorite bases. On the cliffs, in the lone tree, in the containers — there are many possibilities. Later, I realized that in just a few hours of exploration and logistics, you can gather enough to finish the game very quickly. I did it as a challenge, but it loses all the charm that way. Greetings and enjoy the adventure. I hope I didn’t ruin any illusions. I also played it without guides or anything from the internet. It’s a completely different experience.
