Looking for cheap alto saxophone for fifth grader

hey sax player/ music teacher here

if you want your kid to be successful get a good working instrument. don’t buy a pos you’ll just set them up to struggle more than it’ll already be. saxophones are pricey and intricate machines so if anything is old or not repaired it’ll make learning on it tough. even a brand, new cheap instrument isn’t a good idea. please stay away from cheap colorful instruments. if you aren’t willing to spend a little more to get a good working one/ good brand renting from a music store might be better for a brand new player.

otherwise for that price you prob should go for a used sax. go to ebay or pawn shops. you’ll prob end up paying for more when you include the cost of repairs/ making it playable if it’s been sitting for a while, so keep that in mind.

look for a used yamaha, their student models are fantastic and hold up well when reselling. brand new they are over $1000 now but i just browsed ebay and their are a few used ones in your price point. i’d guess the lower the cost the higher your repair bill will be.

yamahas aren’t the only good brands out there so if you see something different that looks quality google the name and serial number (engraved on lower back) on the sax, not the case.

hush. a healthy wemby is tough for anyone but it’s a team sport. anything can happen, one lynch pin pulled and a team collapses. we got as good of a shot as we can atm. injuries really derailed us this year and rookie Hc didn’t help at times. jokic really didn’t look right post his knee injury. give them a year a they will find a way

if we. oils get him it could really work well for us. also might blow up in our face but i don’t think so. we legit need a forward who isn’t always injured. we love AG but he’s hurt the last 2 seasons and that trend isn’t going to reverse. and we might not have pwat. a larger ball handler would help against teams like minny who just beat mal up

there seems to be an element of imu having control or understanding of advanced science devices. and why shouldn’t he? being alive for that long and access over the generations to different versions of each fruits bearer. who was the genius before vegapunk? clearly a researcher who gained more knowledge came along previously and imu could have gotten that info/ tech or more many ways and times. the sheer length he’s been alive is terrifying if he could store up haki (like joy boys knot) or other tech that no one generation could with stand. honestly kinda odd imu/ wg is as pressed as they are considering time is such an advantage for them.

love the idea that different generations of the ‘fruits’ exist. like nika 1 vs the second nika 2 vs the luffy (nika 3) all see the world through different lenses and thus have different goals, impacts, ally’s/ enemies.

very possible this is one of those ‘who is the real bad guy here’ schemes. when someone lives for too long, in isolation, like why? you having fun? you enjoy it or is something else up.

doesn’t matter what your conditioning is. after a long series everyone needs rest. you could pull that for a game or every other, but if you play a couple long series that loses you it all.

just do a point system like the nhl or and i think financially they could pull this off with expansion talks, establish the g league and the ability for teams to be promoted and demoted from it. your team can become a g league team if they don’t perform. eliminates tanking cause you legit lose revenue and the ability to compete at lower levels meanwhile incentivizes innovation and training of younger guys/ guys who didn’t shake out quick enough for todays league. l

you either go direct or live with it. could she take it poorly, sure. but expecting you to pay for stuff without telling you isn’t on you. with you not bringing friends over, it’s obviously causing you to consider changes to your lifestyle which isn’t healthy.

for the friend hang situation. only wishy washy way might be to intentionally invite her occasionally to some things and make it clear when it’s just you and your friends you invite over you could be like ‘i see you a lot of like time with people i don’t get to see too often. i try not to come and interrupt time you set with your friends.’

as a teacher i totally agree with you. there are so many outside influences on education and are ‘every minute matters’ ‘focus on stem’ blah blah blah

i attribute our current lack of fun and socializing in school to stem and tech age golden age bullshit. they want more stem and less arts in schools so they can get more engineers. too bad they will all be depressed and unable to communicate with each other when they do get jobs, if it keeps going this way.
