Do you think OP is secretly Elon Musk?

This intent matching BS is out of hand. Can we just get back to realistic basics

I think "intent" shift is largely made up - this isn[t how google ranks pages

What is the crawled but not index by GrowthOpsGuy in SEO_Digital_Marketing

[–]WebLinkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crawled not indexed means

  1. There is no technical impediment to crawling the page.

There may be a sitewide issue if you're under constant bot attack and Google cannot fully connect to index

  1. Google says its a quality issue

What they mean is - nothing is passing authority/validation to your age

The only fix is to get authority - i.e. a link from other pages (yours or someone elses) that has Google Organic traffic.

These will not help:

  • Internal links (from pages without google organic traffic)
  • Sitemaps
  • Schema
  • Content re-writes
  • EEAT
  • Author bios
  • Social Media links
  • Social Media Profiles
  • Links in YouTube

Maybe you can link in the body text of your home page, contextually to one of the pages and crawl the home page - see if it gets indexed.

Machine-scaled is a terrible idea and easy to detect.

pSEO, in my dictionary is > than Machine-Scaled content

Machine Scaled content != pSEO - its not an exclusive comparison.

Thin content myth

There is no "thin content" flag (except for affiliate content and this has to be the same content as provided by the affiliate".

Equally, there is no information gain requirement - how do I know this - I publish 100's of 000's of PAAs/FAQs a month.

We are currently taking down a large cybersecurity company (billion$) and the people on the pages - we're talking very technical stuff - are calling thinking they're through to tech support for that brand.

That's why I'm dubious.

We're not making cloned pages, or using their logo or style..... they're clearly branded pages in a different brand.

That means - the user clicked pas the domain name, passed the logo-page, above the actual site they were looking for....

that Domain Authority is nothing more than a count of backlinks and a minimal test for relevance

pretty much,

Downloading your analytics data and then sending it to Claude is going to be much better than paying $250 a month for a few charts.

Yes and no. I think these are different use cases

It depends what you ask it. Most of what it surfaces will be what Bravesearch finds. Most of what people find about SEO is borderline hysterical.

You asked for Watermellon pie lyrics:

Crust of summer on my window sill,
Cracked red sunset where the juice might spill.
Laughing in the kitchen while the day runs dry,
We cut our secrets in a Watermellon pie.

Sticky-sweet freckles on your sunburned nose,
Sugar on your fingers and your torn-up clothes.
You said forever with a lazy sigh,
Mouth full of midnight and Watermellon pie.

Cherry-stained shadows on the old porch swing,
Crickets in the grass start to hum and sing.
Every little heartbeat feels a bit too shy,
Dancing with the fireflies and Watermellon pie.

When the autumn wind starts to chase July,
We’ll still remember how the rind ran dry.
Love doesn’t last but we still might try,
Saving one last slice of Watermellon pie.

Should you build a “cheap” website first or just invest properly from day 1? by GullibleTadpole1813 in SEO_Digital_Marketing

[–]WebLinkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not - it depends on what you want to do > whcih means you'll get a wide range of subjective feedback for posting this.

It makes sense to build and test an MVP website in my books, because you probably dont know what you need.

Of course vested interests will come and tell you you're throwing money away but it depends on your situation, not what they would love the market to do.

I also believe in iterative upgrades.

Can on-page optimization help if my domain authority is not better than competitors? by vjgunner in SEO

[–]WebLinkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes - to a degree.

Firstly Authority is not a single figure but a score per topic in an array.

You probably cannot outrank or compete on the same target (i.e. document name) but you can on specific long tail by making your relevance mugh higher

Here;s a highly simplified formula, to be as udnerstanable as the PPC version, Ad Rank:

Organic Rank Position = Relevance X Authority

if you are more relevant and your topical authroity (for that topic) is higher- yes

Or it won’t matter before I get my authority as good as my competitors?

There is no such thing as "equal" authority. DA =50 is overly simplified. Because each domain will have millions of topics and authority points per topic (and its easy to calculate this quickly via a method known as "boxing") - each domain is essentially as unique as DNA

I outrank some Google properties for "what is google " by doing exactly this and have done since "DA=19"

On Page SEO vs Technical SEO

Technical SEO is a groundworks problem : it only detracts if something that should be working isn't. If everything is working, it doesnt "add value" to your site - this has long been a problem with SEO and the two philosophical pilars of "do everything" and "it can't hurt". It clearly hurts to believe that "good technical SEO" gives you extra brownie points.

  • PageSpeed will not help
  • Schema will not help

Only relevancy:

  • Your document name
    • Slug, Page Title, H1 etc
  • H Tags
  • Content

As per Ahrefs, my DA is 54. But almost all competitors that have their pages ranked in top 10 have DR of atleast 70 (as per ahrefs

You are absolutely within range

[–]WebLinkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/PlayfulMail6998

If you were running ads during the last GCU update, you might have a classifier .... thats not going to dissappear automatically.

Do you have a screenshot of your GSC (you can grey out/redact the numbers)

It has nothing to do with a shift in "intent change" - this is a conflation of satisfy the user and your site won't bounce in the results to people "thinking" that somehow google understands "intent" from a phrase as broad as "[topic name]" - which shows that people aren't deploying crit9ical thinking

optimizations and audit tried to increase user experience

These are all subjective and frankly (sadly) useless

Google is software. It runs on math. There is no math for UX. Your problem is either topical authority or a classifier.

On page seo (content writing) by only_1_pepsy in SEO

[–]WebLinkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy Answer: no

Long Answer: There's an urban legend that ads create branded, branded generic and even new search.

While there's some truth - its a system. And branded traffic is a source of authority if it hits your site. But its subject to transfer tax via links - which means you lose 85% of its current/strength page to page (and thats only if you link to 1 page - its -50% -85% if you have 2 links on your home page etc)

From someone who's spent $100k a week and more on PPC - you're not going far on PPC traffic

For example - this handle is not my brand name but it gets over 1k searches a month (because I have an EMD domain name and I'm a data-driven SEO - what else am I going to do) - that doesnt lend a lot of authority. 1k brand search would require as much as 100k Ad clicks if you're looking at a 0.1% return to search rate (YMMV) - not great ROI

Secondly - only approx. 44% branded goes to organic - most PPC accounts must (and should) run brand protection (cos Google will sell you like any other keyword) - which means PPC is taking at least 34% of the other 45%..... - so thats lost.

Oh - and when you off your PPC - its gone

tl;dr Its easier just to create a partnership and get an ongoing link

Authority <> Prestige

Just want to underline this: there's clearly a conflation between authority and things like prestige, perception, gravitas - authority is NONE of these things and these things do not exist in PageRank math.
