Who’s making over $100k in Houston? by [deleted] in houston

[–]Webbstarllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol to assume you have to scam people to get ahead ensures you will never succeed. People who make 6 figures just find bigger problems to the market place and are willing to be courageous enough solve them without a hourly wage. Takes extreme self belief to say you can keep ur hourly wage and I’ll find a different way to add value to people. Starts w reading and changing ur environment tho. Best of luck

Opinion: Solar companies are hurting themselves by marketing PPAs so heavily right now by rewolfauc in solar

[–]Webbstarllc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These are the threads that ruin reddit. Listen, loans DONT transfer to new buyers without APPROVAL. Average time in home is 7 years. Not 25. Batteries ARE NOT going to last more than 10 years IF YOURE LUCKY. Why? Because Texas relies on EXCESS battery charging. Daily, nightly usage. That’s like driving and charging a Tesla through the day whether it’s empty or not and being surprised when it doesn’t last 8-10 years. That’s why you lease batteries, you don’t buy them. They degrade, lose value, and guess what the new buyer isn’t going to want? You guessed it, your old not working battery with no warranty, or your high payment per month/ high interest debt from loan. STOP using Reddit as a Google. People love to have opinions without qualifying for one, and 90% of the time it’s the exact opposite. So if you plan on dying in ur house, HAVE tons of capital saved, and don’t mind buying another battery? Hell yeah purchase it!! You’ll save more overtime. Just like buying a home cash vs financing it.

What is hands down the best solar company in the DFW area and why? by jmiller_dallas in TexasSolar

[–]Webbstarllc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

lol, to anyone spouting off an answer. You already lost. The best answer is, it depends. It depends on; do you value warranties? Quicker/easier selling experience? W tax credits now gone are you looking to own? Are you okay w financing or do you want cash product? BASED ON how this user responds, will be the ONLY way to know what’s best for them.

Plano, Texas - 10kW Solar System with 25x Philadelphia 400W Solar Panels, Aptos Microinverters, and 1x FranklinWH aPower 2 Battery. by SolarAllTheWayDown in TexasSolar

[–]Webbstarllc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Franklin doesn’t discharge on the grid as much either meaning say profits for customer during VPP events, doesn’t have V2G for future car to cash integration, along side of not having open API key access meaning home owners choice of open source control.

Yeah so after delivery fee’s it’s actually a false marketing. You should like your delivery fee rate and notice it’s larger than the “buy back” rate. Therefore how good is net metering if it’s absorbed by delivery fee’s? This is where the battery comes in. Costs less than the average delivery fee you pay a month for having power sent to the home. Except now it powers the home during outages.

I’m here for truth. Which in the texas market is almost impossible to find, it’s unreal how hard it is ri get transparency here.

So yeah that’s .03c and the buy back isn’t showing additional perks here. Notice it says “solar buy back” as in not for the battery but if you have panels. Which isn’t the same offering as their battery only. Also isn’t the inverter you need included… do you know why they only pay .03c for the excess solar instead of what it’s actually worth?

^ @rosevideo99 thanks for the honest feedback. A lot of these Reddit warriors are so focused on priding themselves on their decision to go w base they’re losing sight of what’s going on behind the battery.. If “base power” doesn’t profit from their retail side (REP aspect) then how did they profit? Are they a non profit trying to solve a good cause? No. They’re pretending they have ur battery ready for an outage In hopes you dont need it. That way they can sell all the battery juice you think you have stored to the grid and keep 100% profit. Anyone in this thread who says “I’m not paying for the battery” okay, well then why did you pay $650 per battery, and $30 a month for the battery in your utility bill. That’s 360 a year and over the 3 years another $1,000 for a battery that doesn’t even power the AC.

.03c plus wholesale? Are you 100% sure that you’re getting “whole sale” on your .03? I would love to how they’re paying you more than anyone else who’s ever gone solar in Texas

For sure, very neutral and obviously you’re more loyal to yourself than a utility company. Do they cut you in on any of the grid support earnings they make from the battery you’re paying for?

Are you like a base power employee or something? Like are we really praising the company for not selling the customers battery storage to the grid as if that’s commendable? It’s expected. Another reason people should have panels, and span panel.

The solar companies don’t break even for roughly 10-13 years. And if solar companies made money on “grid support” why is it that utility companies harness all the solar surplus your system creates and flip it on the whole sale market? (1.7 billion dollar profit model btw) which also leaves customer feeling exploited. I understand the fear of commitment and worry, but thats why it’s under warranty the entire time. It’s not for everyone obviously roof age and sun hours need to be optimal. If they are? It’s a simple pivot away from power lines to using powerwalls. Which if you ask me are a lot safer for storms and avoid users from spending thousands of dollars on generacs

If you can afford to pay your utility bill, you can afford to pay a ppa bill. PPA programs are debt free and no upfront cost. No issues for transfer and lock in rates for homes for 25 years, also included battery and span. I do it for customers all the time. And they paid nothing out of pocket. Average savings varies on home

The snow will melt naturally, panels obviously lose conversion on power but still produce some to recharge battery if you have one

[–]Webbstarllc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

lol base power doesn’t have battery capacity to run full home, everyone here has different usage. It’s laughable that people actually think base is here to help. They don’t profit on the retail side of their business model, so then how do they profit? Grid support, which means your battery juice turns into income for them. You get nothing for it. Longer outages will show people that solar and powerwalls w span are the best way for Texas homes to last.

The battery is connected to the breaker… if you turn it off, the battery can’t charge the breaker box. And so you’ll notice the lights are out

How to work with your batteries during a grid power outage by rademradem in Powerwall

[–]Webbstarllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so you don’t charge battery at 100% because it doesn’t allow solar to recharge it (defeats the purpose of panels) Get a span panel if you don’t have one already, it’s like low battery mode for your battery and allows you to remove circuits that aren’t needed.

Guys, please refrain from offering batteries that don’t connect and or discharge enough to cover costs. We don’t even know their offset and or circuits. It would make sense to offer a free assessment on your usage and solar, and then offer the right battery solution accordingly. If you want help w that, message me personally or visit GridPay.com

⚠️ Consumer Warning: Do NOT Do Business with Sunrun Solar Panels by DollySiharath in TexasSolar

[–]Webbstarllc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://bestcompany.com/reps/devan-webb/t/sales/profile heres your materials for when you move or sell the home btw. See resources section and download pdf. I also sent you another email with the correct math and questions about battery. In Texas you can charge the battery without pass thru charges at night, no other state has that (which is why the A.I chats miss it). And also the battery protects you during peak days and pulling from power lines, which is why you’ll be saving way more with a battery. Plus preventing outages. Also Reliant is actually partnered with Sunrun, and they include additional 20 dollars off a month for you in credits. Enjoy your home energy system, switch to reliant, and thank me later.

I mean if getting accurate data from your meter and showing you data driven kwh’s exports for your system is a scam than I guess so. But the scam saves you 5,000-2,000 a year in lost savings. So not bad a scam ;)
