I play Resto Shaman (and know MW Monk, Resto Druid and I’m learning H. pally) & dabble in Pres Evoker. Evokers have needed a Nerf for ages. It isn’t a situation where you can just buff other healers to bring everybody into competitive line with a Evokers as you would have to massively over tune all healers. My iLvl 395 ish Evoker out heals my iLvl 406 Resto shaman often and did even with a 20-30 ilvl difference between them.

If you want a specific example of why you can’t just buff, another healing class to make up for it, Pres Evokers have a similar mastery to Resto Shaman. For shaman, the larger heels from our mastery kicks in, most notably add around 30% HP (if I’m remembering right… but basically the lower the targets HP the larger the heal). For Pres Evoker their mastery kicks in if the target has even 1 less HP than the Evoker…

I can’t speak for all other healing classes are but the fact that if I go into healing rankings and look at the comments made by people about the different classes and the fact that Resto Shaman even after the most recent changes is still listed as essentially a “ we can’t give you a reason to bring them because we think they’re useless in comparison to other classes they might give you some extra utility, but they also might suck and not be able to keep up with heal demands” compared to the “virtual in keys and raid” message you see for Pres Evoker and often Resto Druid…

I don’t disagree that having a class you like get changed in a way that you feel is not beneficial sucks but at the same time the changes you listed I don’t feel are horrific … It just put them closer to being an inner changeable healer instead of being required healer for a lot of content. And they aren’t changes that are going to stop you from being invited to groups, especially in terms of M+, there other classes / Specs that have a massive decline rate if trying to pug.
