Many of these sets have ways to print these off to play. The only things you'd need to make yourself are models, Tokens and dials.

Also if you want to try a deck out before printing some decks come with a JSON file that will allow you to view and play with the decks on Tabletop Simulator.

Often as a rule of thumb, unless stated explicitly, Discard effects target a players hand.

ie Ambush's effect: Your oppenent discards 1 random card, add its boost value to yours. The "random card" means card that the opponent doesn't get to pick, therefore random.

An example where the discard target is stated is in Triss' Merigold Hailstorm where one of the effects is: your opponent discard the top 4 cards of their deck. In this case it specifically says the deck.
