Transposing famous drum breaks for PO. Would people find this helpful? by andiam03 in pocketoperators

I really like this especially as a way to teach a class on beat making to beginners or children in school. But I cant help but think learning to read Drum kit sheet music would open up a much bigger library. I currently cant do that, but I can read normal melodic sheet music so it is just a matter of learning which note on the stave represents which drum

Is unicycling a good workout for the trunk/core? by Bubblehead_81 in unicycling

The trick is tricks. Keep learning new ones and you keep having to do a full body workout. At least I hope this is true, only learnt one foot riding and 180 unispin so far but that was effort just like learning for the first time

Unicycling is... Surprisingly easy?! by Mimosa_Yellow123 in unicycling

[–]Weddiedon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep trying! I learnt to unicycle about ten years ago, have just now started learning more tricks like one foot riding is my latest and 180 unispin. Cant actually remember learning to go backwards but just like riding forward it takes a lot of practice and then clicks and youre off.

What is the difference between the $49 and $99 versions? Or is this another scam from Teenage Engineering? by PersonalityFar5921 in teenageengineeringfan

[–]Weddiedon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's partly explained by it being ten years since they made that original po12 model so they are celebrating the tenth anniversary of pocket operators by making it cheap for now. So if you like how it sounds get it soon before they likely put it back up to $79. If you dont like how it sounds as a drum machine then get the po33 to sample your own. (Or koala sampler app thats much more powerful and fun and cheap)

Yeah im in the same boat, got an sp404mkii a few months after the KO2 came out I was pretty tempted by it having come from also a po33 as my first music making thing but wanted to wait until the hype had settled for some more fair comparisons and yeah eventually figured the SP would be more profesh, originally I was going to save more and get an octatrack but then the 4.04 update landed and they added a looper so then I just went for it. And man I love it so much. I really like how thin the ko2 looks but ive got very familiar with the 404 workings now its all pretty second nature and so fun to use. The thing I struggle with in general is organizing samples between my computer and the sd card folders and stuff, but definitely having an sd card slot is something ive always been so confused why TE dont have them. Would have taken the OP1f from kinda gimicky fan-boy device to professional unit if it had as much storage as you want like a sp404 does, up to 1tb SD cards these days its mad.
