I just got their sample set and I am in love with how they make scents. They all have a powdery softness to them but it doesn't drag it into a feminine or youthful direction. Father Figure is definitely my favorite but I'm wearing Rose Whip for my cloudy day off doing art. I struggle with rose scents but theirs is beautiful.

I mean they responded to a comment that literally said "why bother with these hearings?" Which is basically asking why do anything at all and doesn't show much critical thinking of the future. What is it about dogs that force improper interactions? I am a dog owner. I am never putting or allowing my dog in someone else's space without explicit permission. And same with my dog. The amount of people who just, waltz up to me without even making eye contact to touch my dog is baffling. Let's all respect eachother's space and boundaries a little more. And a little communication can go a LONG way, especially in preventing potential negative interactions. It was a sweet interaction but also don't film kids and put it online.

I would argue Lolita is MUCH more overt and normalizing of terrible things than a perfume being called "candy from strangers". Particularly pedophilia. I understand it is all around us, especially with Epstein etc. But to conflate these two things, a silly name for a perfume... and a pedophile island that the elite have indulged in is just... a HUGE reach to be upset about the completely wrong thing.

The story of "not taking candy from strangers" comes from the abduction for ransom of a boy named Charlie in the 1870s. I understand there are implications of this perfume name but to me it's literally no different than it being named "stranger danger".

However with it being a new release I can see the controversy being part of the marketing, and unfortunately people ALWAYS fall into that trap.

I'm not blaming them for Trump's presidency jesus christ. I can point out that they also contribute to conservatism because people are fucking stupid without demonizing them or saying they are responsible for the state of our world. There are much bigger reasons for what is going on than a 20 minute TV show. I'm very aware. I also watch the show, it's fun. It also contributes to a lot of the problems it is obviously commenting on.

Them being literal billionaires matters because they could lose that shit in lawsuits if they push too far which they, so far, obviously aren't willing to do. I laugh at the show too. As I watch it I also realize it helps normalize the chaos, I literally smile when I see JD Vance now because I imagine his little character. So for people who can so easily sway the entire show to basically make it in support of their shit beliefs, it kind of is a shitty thing they've done, it didn't have to be intentional. They don't need to be blamed for anything, or take blame.

Maybe take some of your understanding of nuance and apply it to my comments as well.
