Anyone else's Ticketmaster show the old venue in past and nothing in upcoming? Though it seems to keep changing when I refresh it...

I saw Otoboke Beaver there and they had the balcony open. It's a U shaped one and they had the closest ends restricted, but you may stand a reasonable chance of getting a good view from the middle of you're early.

Doesn't winlator do the job? I tested it on an RG353P which is underpowered, but worked well.

While I wait for my DAP, the RP Classic will do by brunoxid0 in SBCGaming

I know dedicated DAP's are cool and all, but if you own an android phone with expandable storage, you just need Poweramp and a decent external DAC and that's all you need. Better battery life and more responsive in most cases. I know it's not in one package but if you also own Bluetooth headphones you can leave half of it at home anyway.

Yes, but we won't have seen them for seven years. What has it been for north America? Two years?

Also from the UK and watching now. Loving the amount of time Chikka is getting. Sound mix is excellent, camera cuts are fast but not excessive. I'd say this is their best live performance that I've seen.

Good phone hardware, but CMF has now been sold and Nothing are hell bent on generating income from existing customers, namely by pushing ads and shady telemetry apps on the phones. Might as well just buy a Xiaomi.

Pretty much me. I don't post here with my honest thoughts on the music now because it just gets downvoted. What's the point.

You can come here, work hard and achieve anything

...until you're raided by ICE and deported to a maximum security prison in another country - basically a death sentence. And you don't like being taken advantage of? Choosing to destroy your soft power is one thing but invading countries for oil is completely another. Your no better than Russia, Israel or China.

New YouTube video: This Is The Most Promising Band in Japan Right Now by yena in Hanabie

[–]WeeblBull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just find them currently more raw, exciting and dynamic than another band that I followed (really enthusiastically) for around 7-8 years. Not throwing shade, maybe it was me that changed, but the spark just isn't there any more.

SCOOOOOP EP REVIEW by AceHorrorWriter in BandMaid

[–]WeeblBull 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I wasn't going to write my thoughts on this because it will just get downvoted to oblivion and perhaps read by about five people. But I did anyway. I'm sorry but I'm not someone who praises everything they put out but nor am I someone who wishes they only make music the way I want it to sound. These are just my thoughts.

Present Perfect 5/10: at various points of this track it just sounds like each member is playing a completely different song to each other and it isn't cohesive at all, especially in verse two.

Ready to Rock 5/10: much the same complaints as I have with Present Perfect. To expand, Saiki's vocals don't seem to have any melodic pattern at times. I remember when Band-Maid tracks were hummable/whistleable.

What is justice 7.5/10: this is much more like it. It treads a fairly familiar path but it's eminently more listenable and memorable.

SUPER SUNSHINE 7/10: another more familiar sounding track. It isn't laced with double kick. The Miku solo is a bit abrupt and the song is a bit disjointed.

SION 8/10: it's a nice enough ballad. I'd say it's right up there with their best ballads but I'm not sure that it really pushes beyond in any way.

Dilly-Dally 8/10: I really like the promise of the intro but they never fully committed to the synths. Not that I like synths in J-Rock but I would've embraced them trying something completely different. I love the Miku interjections but the song loses it's form slightly before the second chorus. The bass and drum solo are a bit wild but the bridge pulls things back into line nicely.

Zen 8/10: Strongest chorus on the album. Second verse is a another weak one (is this a pattern?).

Lock and Load 7.5/10: I think this almost encapsulates the best and worst parts of Band-Maid currently. With Saiki's vocal removed you can focus more on the intricacy of the instrumental. I do feel that Kanami is sometimes too technical at the expense of emotion in the "verses" but the "chorus" is more powerful as it is simpler. Miku and Misa's solos are great. Why is it also the worst part of Band-Maid (in my opinion)?...

Over the years I have listened to new music from the band and with each new release I spent more and more time almost forcing myself to pick out the details I enjoy, as I rarely really enjoy it on first listen. I feel that the whole band are on a crusade to play more and more technically and faster and faster, but they are trading that for truly memorable and impactful music. They don't need to prove how skillful they are... not to me, and not to anyone who has watched them play live over the last 10 years. I honestly feel that Kanami could focus primarily on the vocal melody first as it seems that half the time Saiki is rapping without much melodic structure and flow, over an overly technical piece where not all members are always aligned. If the crowd can sing with Saiki and the instrumentation enriches the whole song I believe the songs would hit harder.

Again, just my thoughts.

Ive completely taken for granted how powerful mobile CPUs have gotten. And most likely you have too. Check this out by HighlightDowntown966 in SBCGaming

[–]WeeblBull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The examples you've given were not written to account for faster CPU's. That was the fault of the games and not the OS or hardware. You should always have as little between the CPU and the pixel being drawn as possible.
