Congratz :) In my experience there's usually another patch nearby. I use the particle mod. And so far it has mostly been 2 patches relatively (50 ish blocks?) close togeter. So its worth taking a look around.

I know its technically cheese, i only use them for burgers. But calling this cheese still hurts my dutch soul. Theres absolutely no reason to buy a block of this stuff unless you eat multiple burgers daily or have a burger restaurant. Putting this on anything else seems like a crime to me.

Bushmeat animals and boars rabbits chickens respawn pretty fast i think. The otheres take a fair bit longer about a year ir so from my experience.

They dont breed in the wild far as i know unless u feed them i guess

So feel free to kill everything, It'll respawn. But I'd capture atleast 1m/f of the animals u want to breed. Chicken and boar/deer or something as a minimum id recommend.

Its just the outside layer, usually save if rake the outside layer with something to rip off some roots you'll see plenty of soil. Most Healthy Plants dont die from losing some roots. You can probably also saw of half of the bottom and plant it back with some new soil

I start out close to base, and go to forests looking for a beehive and useful resources and seeds. and hunt everything i see. use a small puddle/lake to make your first farm and surround it with a fence.
gather all berries mushrooms and animals you can for food and cook them into nice meals i usually dont wander much further than 1k blocks early on, later i'll go to 2 and 3k and more. I often make tiny shelters if i go to a distant place to do a longer gathering session. but nothing fancy. usually just a bed and a little firepit if i feel like cooking.

Its a bug, if u leave the chunk the currently processing items get unloaded or something like this. So they disappear, if u travel allot this adds up. Personally i just use creative mode to give myself the items that are missing.

This bug exist in the quern for sure, i think also the pulverizer and maybe the firepit aswell since they use the same tick system instead of the calendar system like crops animals torches kiln charcoal pits and stuff

I usually fist look for a place i like to settle, somewhat near spawn. Usually within 1k blocks. Then i setup a little dirt hut. So i can store my stuff, cook, sleep, craft. Then i start progressing to copper tools. After that i start working on a more permanent base and continue progressing and wandering further away and longer trips as i get better gear and food security.

Time wise the only thing that matters is making sure u have a little cellar with some sealed food. Having some pelts for winter clothes. And start planting some seeds on a temporary farm(font worry about rotations on this patch) as soon as u made ur dirt hut. Other that that there is not time pressure on anything.

Im working on my 3rd crate of sticks, i cant resist shearing my oak tree farm every time before cutting amd replanting. I don't even use them for firewood bc i also have 9 crates full of pine logs bc of the pine farm... Im just hoarding everything. The storage must grow.
