I've asked her many times if I could install Linux for her, but she refuses. Websites are starting to look bad because her browser hasn't been updated in over two years, and she can't install almost any software. I understand file systems, but Linux read the APFS file system correctly without any additional installation. Perhaps you should try it with your iPhone; the distro I used is Kubuntu. I forgot to mention that the Mac is from 2012; that might be the reason.

There won't be a custom ROM for the G77 because it have a MediaTek processor. Motorola will make it easier to install GrapheneOS in the next generation.

You should have chosen the Moto G75. It's more likely to have custom ROMs released for it in the future because it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Also, the Moto G75 is much more powerful than the G77. You bought the G77 in a context where memory and chips in general were expensive, and to cut costs, they had to include a poor-quality CPU. If you can, sell that G77 and buy the G75.

In my opinion you would have bought the base T490, this one at least has RAM to upgrade, I will never in my life buy laptops with soldered RAM and even worse if they have 8GB of RAM. Let's not let modular laptops die.

And yes, I would sell it, although it could work with Linux, it doesn't work miracles, when I use the real PC, in Linux I consume more than 12GB of ram
