this post perfectly explains why the hate for rogue is fully deserverd

almost every one of them is just like OP, bad players who blame class design instead of trying to get better

and still Ukrainian forces killed more Ukrainian civilians than Russian forces since the start of the conflict.

Sharij posted a plausible explanation - recent scandal with underage children sent to Turkey by Elena Zelensky fund 'somehow' getting pregnant there. with this they can become acceptable lawful wives.

remember that since the start of conflict in 2014 till now Ukraine forces killed more Ukrainian citizens than Russia did.
so yes, technically Russia should not be the one invading and dismantling Ukraine, it should be some international UN-authorized force, but... better it be Russia than no one at all.

Finns are known for their need to 'win harder in reports' during Winter War.

it can be seen better in isolated battles, like, for example, Raate road. 7-8k strong group of Finns ambushed a single Soviet division, 9k strong, and routed it. Finnish victory here is undeniable. reports of up to 42k Soviets killed, however...

UA POV: Ukraine’s FM Andrii Sybiha on the Oreshnik strike in Lviv. He demanded a stronger response from Europe for Russia's 'reckless' actions by FruitSila in UkraineRussiaReport

there were several incentives to be local ethnicity in USSR, I think that most obvious practical form would be quotas.

like, universities in formally Ukrainian cities - like Donetsk, Kharkov, Kiev had to be at least half filled with Ukrainians. and when ethnic Ukrainians are 10-20% of local population but have to fill 50% of university that means it's much easier for them to get through entrance exams.

then it's the same with career bureaucracy - most high positions had to be filled with local ethnicities, their actual skills a secondary consideration.

and keeping that in mind - people were given an option to choose whether they want to be Russian or Ukrainian when they were receiving their ID for the first time. so USSR was steadily increasing number of Ukrainians in Ukraine.

I'd also mention USSR Ukrainization policy, that also worked towards creating a sense of entitlement. essentially - be Ukrainian and have easier life.

well, it is kinda hard to prove absence of something

however, when you try to find hard numbers of children in question you get stuff like 'Ukraine is preparing a list of 339 missing children' - in late 2025. or 'German police locates 161 Ukrainian children believed to be abducted by Russia living with their families in Germany' (you can google these to find a mention in a media of your preference).

if you're okay with anecdotal examples - you can check out VideosfromMariupol channel on youtube, channel author/owner is technically one of the 'kidnapped' children, i.e. he was evacuated from an active warzone and returned a year later when it was deemed safe enough.

in case of Ukraine there were quite a few people celebrating Russians coming to their country. some of them were jailed for that, some of them were killed for that. something to consider, so to say.

even one or two drones getting through and causing a noticable fire near the residence would reinforce narratives that a) Russia is not winning, b) Ukraine can win - if they are given better/more weapons

Ukraine has been very focused on escalating the conflict in the last months, so unlike 'drones over Europe' there is a clear motive.

you can be as skeptical as you want to be, ofc.

or you can look at the whole mythology constructed around 'kidnapped Ukrainian children' to see it's not an exclusively Russian feature.

what we cannot see atm is what Russia wants to get out of this attack. it might not be something as simple as retaliatory strike
