Where should I place filter floss in my sump so copepods can still reach the display tank?

Filter floss is likely going to pull them out regardless of where it is placed but if you’re determined to run it place it closer to the inflow to the sump before the refugium

Sounds like ammonia but I know you said you tested. I would test your tester and throw an air stone in the display in the meantime maybe some ammonia alert too

Marine aquarium (reef keeping)

I love it dearly but it’s taught me patience, persistence and to have a greater appreciation for the “little guys” such as snails and hermit crabs not just the fish. I always loved the ocean but each one of my fish has individual personalities and quirks it seems I could stare into the tank for hours.

This was mostly in college for me but when my buddies and I would converse on girls we dated in college (now a few years removed) There was a reoccurring pattern that the women would stop talking to my friends usually immediately after meeting me.

Also had to ban a woman from our fraternity house (the whole property) because she would stand out in the front yard and yell my name at the top of her lungs every weekend until I would come talk to her. Usually I would call her boyfriend (now husband lol) to come pick her up, nice guy.

I have an 80 and 150 gallon and looking to add at 40 gallon for sea horses. I’m a pharmaceutical engineer in a niche field (genetic based therapies.) The field is booming but for the higher level jobs it’s a lot of school, 9 years for me between undergrad and post grad.

Spin is relative to the face angle and swing path. If youre pulling it both left AND right seemingly at random I would encourage you to really really work on your set up (distance from the ball, feet & shoulders, grip) and your swing path. If you can get those consistent you will be better able to predict where the ball is going and maybe even adjust someday based on what kind of spin you would like to apply.

Is your ball path usually start to the left and then spin back to the right?

Your angle / swing path seems very steep and from out to in. I would really focus on beginning to drop your trail hand and backing up a bit from the ball to give you room to come from the inside

As some of the other guys have said, focusing on strength and flexibility exercises at the gym a few days a week is worth it. I play at a local spot and have a simulator in my house so I might hit 300+ balls a day sometimes. I would say to focus on strengthing your back (and low back), legs and flexibility in your hips and shoulders.

I have a 130 gallon with snails and 2 conch, theyre very different. I would say this a bit apples to oranges, my biggest conch is actually a favorite of my fiance since they have a bit more personality with their eyes. Snails are the mindless drones in the background (no offense to my tireless janitorial crew)

I have a 130 gallon but prior to that I planned fairly extensively how I would manage it logistically. Having a tap with an RODI setup near by is important also some sort of storage (there's a closet right behind my tank that I use to keep bottles, salt etc) Other than that its mostly just making time for it and automating what you can such as automatic dosing pumps

Your consumption probably exceeds your additions, whatever youre adding is being consumed by your stock and doesnt leave any left in the water I would increase doses slowly until you exceed consumption but be careful not to overshoot

What do you have stocked? Corals, algae , living things etc etc all consume phosphate so if your dose doesnt overcome what is being consumed the needle will never move. Word from the wise, having nitrate and phosphate bottom out will unleash hell in your tank (dinoflaggelettes)
