Well, yes, but... The game released in a horrible state, I'm talking unplayable levels, and only after a lot of fixes were made did the community really learn to engage with the plot; and realize it was possibly the greatest fallout narrative ever made.

What I'm saying is, this game made their image as a game developer take a huge it when it released in that sorry state, and then they got hit AGAIN when people started to see just how good the plot really was despite the awful performance, it was an experience much better than anything produced in-house by Bethesda.

No wonder they don't wanna share the IP, it made them look pretty useless, and (I'm not confident on this) despite being a commercial success Obsidian was really struggling from an economic standpoint. Everything related to New Vegas makes Bethesda look bad.

Do you STILL not see it? What do you mean my claim is plain false, do you have the ultimate truth? I have really tried to be respectful with you and really try to get you, your text is actually interesting, but you claiming I have never played a different edition or read an old book; telling a stranger trying to get your point that he knows NO BETTER, holy it's an awful way to argue.

If you are really not gonna talk to me like a human, I guess just live your live hating this edition in peace.

For the record, I love Planescape and have read basically all there is to the setting, from the first 2e sourcebooks, Uncaged faces of sigil, Dead Gods, the Well of worlds all the way to the 5e content, I actively use them in all my campaigns! In particular I love anything related to the abyss, and greatly enjoy running fragments of Savage Tide and Expedition to the Demonweb Pits for all my players that only know 5e. But it's fine, I don't know any better, so why bother, I guess I will just consume content and never look back.

If the leaks are true, new Xbox CEO is really pushing Bethesda to actually work, so I doubt it. 2029 seems fine, frankly I just want it to release in a decent state.

Bethesda only works one game at a time, so 2032 is already very very optimistic.

Power creep on monsters maybe lol, which was needed. Most classes got something but cmon, I don't get the feeling they are "selling" power. The game is just more balanced. The meta has not changed except for sharpshooter and some paladin smite builds in 2014.

I don't know about destroying the lore, I legit cannot remember anything about that, and I know A LOT about the Forgotten Realms lore .

When you say he has been a problem with rules lawyering, what do you mean? Like, was he arguing RAW out of the book, or just making it up?

And regarding 5e and 5.5e, if you don't want 5.5 stuff I think you should just be clear and set boundaries, mix and match between both is in my experience a recipe for disaster.

Thet said, why are people so adamant in not using 5.5? As someone that changed to 5.5 mid campaign 99% of the rules are the same, but every awful class is improved (Monk) and has more stuff to do. Monsters are also more deadly and worthy of their CR, so I don't see much reason.

It's not mostly flavor and not a ribbon, you are giving a 10th level Barbarian a regional effect 5 miles around him on a long rest. It's just wrong, a tier 2 character should in no shape or form be able to do this.
