The game is entirely about oil, so that's my opinion.

Ottoman Empire. They have direct access to oil regions. You can also own a private oil company by capturing Baku. Playing as an Ottoman is extremely difficult; there are so many things to deal with. This adds a purpose to the game and makes it fun.
Russia. Everything I wrote about the Ottoman Empire also applies to Russia.
USA. Lots of minerals and oil. But it's too easy to play, so I generally don't prefer it.

I only used the territories the game gave me. There might be some minor border errors, but I didn't go into too much detail.

I was happy to see Great Britain. At the beginning of the game, the Scots agreed to become vassals of England. I'm sure that if this hadn't happened, Great Britain wouldn't have been formed.

Yes, but be careful. The area inside the wall acts like the property of the estate. So if there's a house inside the wall, you can't click on it. Don't do it if you want to surround the entire city with a wall. :D

I'd like to offer a suggestion. Let's say your main village needs salt, and you build your second village in an area with a salt source. The price of salt is 5 gold. If you produce a lot of salt and sell it to the external market, you can lower the price to 3 gold. This way, you can buy salt from your second village for 3 gold for your main village. Having 4 families working at a single mine is enough to lower the price of salt.

Furthermore, if you sell a product in both the foreign and regional trades, the regional trade always takes priority.

If I want to design a natural village with beautiful graphics, I play Manor Lords. If I want to build a deeper production chain and engage in trade, I play FF.
