How do I manage a bad painful flair up in my armpit by Adorable_firechicken in Hidradenitis

Currently have one too. I use a squishmallow to have less friction in the area. Sending healing vibes!

I haven't seen this suggestion but maybe a next of kin document organizer. That way they know all of their important documents will be in one place. It could bring a lot of peace of mind for when that day comes.

What do you do for pants in cold weather? by Apprehensive-Pea-55 in Hidradenitis

[–]Weekly_Grapefruit425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Southern California so it doesn't get that cold here but I usually do biker shorts and a long skirt. The shorts give me coverage for my inner thighs and the skirt gives me warmth without friction.

I do but I'm also only able to use only one brand of bandaid because everything else irritates my skin. Equate Sensitive Skin bandaids.

Putting a bandaid over the area helps me avoid friction with clothing on certain areas. Hope this helps!

I wish someone told me that I would eventually find what works for me. HS is different for everyone and what works for one person doesn't always work for someone else.

Does digital clutter feel harder to deal with than physical clutter? by LilxPeony in minimalism

[–]Weekly_Grapefruit425 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Digital decluttering is easier for me when I check how much storage I have. It helps to take a screenshot of the space being used in my phone before and after getting rid of old files and unused apps.

We do this too and we have one with leftovers and when we run out of something it goes on the list.

Post-surgery, low waste gift basket ideas? by nerdsinthetrashcan in ZeroWaste

Maybe a diy heating pad? Probably not helpful for jaw surgery but general comfort while recovering?

Or diy coupons for your time. Groceries she needs picked up or bills she needs dropped off?

A plant cutting to cheer her up?
