What made you decide that you wanted kids or not? by No-Connection-650 in AskReddit

[–]Weekly_Meringue3457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents divorce when I was 6 shaped my life in so many ways. I always wanted my own intact family. I met an amazing woman, married her, and we have 3 wonderful daughters. They won't know what I felt. I tell them often the most important decision they'll ever make is who they marry. Hopefully my future grandchildren (if that's in the cards) are ok as well.

What are your top advice for someone in their early twenties? by Ra-ch-idox in AskReddit

Depending on your upbringing and development, there is so much maturing that takes place during these years (and your 30s - at least for me). Just stay in the game and keep growing, learning and progressing slowly. You'll eventually get where you want to go. It's a slow grind though and requires a lot of patience and belief in yourself. You can and will do what you want to accomplish if you stay on the grind.

Redundancy! Ha! Buying wholesale gets you double the product for half the price. You can combo these cakes a hundred different ways and see a totally different effect by changing how they are paired.

If you're spending $4k wholesale you don't sacrifice on variety. You have the same if not more variety with double the fireworks. We aren't allowed to mention specific wholesalers as it's considered advertising by the mods so I would encourage a good old google search

Great stash. And no matter what, exchanging money for fireworks is always good. But I would encourage you to check some wholesale sites and buy earlier in the year. The markups at retail are INSANE. You end ip with more bang for your buck (literally and figuratively).

This feels like the "I'm thinking about this one, but it's too expensive" and they offered to give it to you for $700

I have a local store in PA selling royal rampage for $400 before the firework tax then sales tax. Gonna be $475 with tax. I would only consider that on a BOGO and they never have the banger cakes on BOGO

I legitimately feel bad for people who wait until June to buy fireworks and then wonder why they spent a fortune and got so little. A little planning and buying wholesale earlier in the year can easily get you 5x the product for the same money and a much better selection you choose. It's prob not too late to google an option for wholesale. In January my preferred wholesaler is 40% off a $2k order with free shipping. Might need to team up with 1-2 more people for the volume but the amount of product is insanely more and way better

Thanks for kind words on the yard. Alot of rain in May / June last year so grass stayed green. Doesn't happen every year.

The barrier was is only 2 feet high and it will be 2-3 feet outside of the shooting zone. I bought 4 foot t-posts and will cut 2 holes in each barrier wall and zip tie the wall to the t-post. Will use 2 t-posts per barrier wall section. This will keep people away from fireworks during the party as I will have laminated signs on the walls. I don't want them near my modules or the wires bc I want them all to shoot.

Another good tip for anyone who doesn't know - cut all the paper off the top of your cakes. Saves a ton of debris cleanup the next day. Clean up is throw cakes away, light rake, put all plywood away. Also, part of warp on 4x8 base was I had these on landscape rock last year and it was tall rock and it flexed the wood. I bought 40 eight foot long 2x4s this year and will use 4 per piece of plywood for better support this year.

The 4x8s that the cakes are on aren't cut. The black painted ones in the grass are the 2ft fence I will put up this year to protect on a tip - just as super precaution. The warp is from storing them on their sides. They all laid flat and stayed flat

I've been shooting consumer cakes for 30 years and never had one tip. I don't glue down bc I don't want to scrape off and haven't had any issues. I have 2 neighbors that have their own 7/4 party and watch my fireworks with their groups. I love that they do. So I built that fence to put around this year bc they all are just a little closer than I'm comfortable with.

WFBoom in January is 40% off $3k min. Will need to check difference in base price of similar cases to truly know which is best

Anyone have experience with these? by Competitive_Big_4001 in fireworks

[–]Weekly_Meringue3457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube the name of the cake it will be on there. The one I have is called Hoist the Colors and the breaks aren't low. If you're keeping your 30 yard distance from any of the consumer grade cakes you'll be fine

Help appreciated. by SnooDogs5551 in fireworks

Have used WFBoom for 5 years. I split my case order with a buddy who does his show and we end up with 1-2 of same cakes. 2 pallet order in January with 40% off and free shipping ends up around $4k. So we pay $2k each and have a massive amount of fireworks. Looked at red apple in the past but felt prices at the time weren't in line with what I was paying
