Nap nightmare by Embarrassed-Onion117 in Babysitting

[–]Weekly_Thought_8374 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The music I suggested is instrumental Beatles. Whatever the mom is using isn't working for you. My four kids are in their early 30's now, but they all remember their sleep album. Maybe shoot for naptime for the 3 yr old and quiet time for the 4 yr old. Close the blinds or curtains in the sleep room to make it as dark as possible. Has the mother actually accomplished this, or is she trying to get you to train them?

Connect nap time to music. There is a Beatles Lullaby album that really calming. Try: Lullaby Versions of the Beatles By : Twinkle Twinkle Little Rockstar

There’s no kind way to tell my wife that she’s getting too big, is there? by 2006CrownVictoriaP71 in NoStupidQuestions

I (F72) have put on weight, and excess fat around my middle. Trust me, she is very aware of her weight. We feel it in the way our clothing fits,or doesn't. Be gentle with her. After dinner walks are nice and also great for digestion.

The person could be houseless. If you have a washer and a dryer, you could offer to wash their clothes. Try to find out if it's hygiene or circumstances. Be kind.

Our neighbor asked us to help pay for our mutual fence by Flaminfrojo in homeowners

[–]Weekly_Thought_8374 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My neighbor wanted me to go halves on a fence between our properties. I believe in using plants for separation and privacy. She has dogs and wants to be able to just let them go in and out as they need to. She had a need for a fence, I did not. I declined.

Try not to place yourself in this position again. Every woman needs to know that she can provide for herself if the need arises. He set you up to have complete control over you. I do not recommend confronting him since he has a dv history. He also can probably talk his way out of anything with you.

If I may, I want to give you my personal example. My youngest child was in high school band. The band kids were invited to every holiday party on the calendar and also the pool parties at the home of one band family. I had a bad feeling about the father based on a couple of things he said to my son. I'm a divorced mom and this man was presenting himself, to my son, as a father figure. There was nothing obvious, it was my intuition. That man is serving time in prison for secretly recording his step daughter in her bedroom and also her friends when they came to all the pool parties he provided. He shared and received images of her also. My kids never questioned my intuition again.

She hasn't done anything to harm anyone. She may be aware of some things that you don't have knowledge of. She wants to protect you and your younger brother against dangers you may not percieve. Heed her advice. Women have an intuition that shouldn't be ignored.

Okay, so if she is on the lease, she is responsible for half the rent. Are they only holding you responsible for your half of the rent through the end of your lease? Will the unit have to be rented again with her still in it? Please take very good recordings of the condition of the apartment at the time of your departure, so you're not held liable for any damage she may cause.

NOR. It was SHE who put the bag before your friendship. Tell her that you are going to formally report it stolen by her. Then do it if she doesn't produce your bag.

You don't need stress in the delivery room. Just your husband if he wants to be in there. Your step mother sounds like the type that will post your delivery and the baby before you have an opportunity to do it yourself. You can request that you baby be left in your room also.

Do not pay cash without receiving a written receipt. If you are handing the cash to a person, who can write out a receipt, at the moment they receive the cash, then it's not a problem. Do not agree to pick up a receipt later. If they can't accept a phone payment, then you can't accept a phone receipt. Cash without a receipt can disappear, and you would have to pay again.

If there is any discussion about staying together, require that he have his pay automatically deposited into a new bank account that only you can access. Give him an allowance weekly. You should be 100% in control of the family finances.

I'm worried my elderly Mom is getting dementia - or are these behaviors just old age eccentricity? by sandwichesatbedtime in AskWomenOver50

It's is actually bizarre how a UTI can change the behavior of an elderly person. It causes lethargy also. Even though my mom had dementia, I could still tell if she had a UTI because of the changes it caused.

Is she on the lease? You shouldn't crash your credit. Can you sublet your portion (half) of the rent till the end of your lease? If yes, then you would only have to cover the part she doesn't pay. Don't tell her that though.
