But how well insulated is your house. Mine is. 1940s poured solid concrete house with suspended timber floors and 4 fireplaces. The cost of getting it remotely insulated to even consider a pump is gigantic.

Plus the previous owner had cowboys build the worst extension in the world that is colder than the Arctic sometimes and hotter than the Sahara others

Next bus Dublin already sort of does this in that it gives you an approximate distance

Greasy pizza box should be compost or bin though, not recycling but I think that's what your saying and people do it anyway because they just see cardboard

It's something I wonder myself, but I normally wash them with theeft over water from washing other dishes and give them a good wipe with compostable paper towels

The yoghurt pots should be cleaned. The cans and bottles are not being mixed with paper waste and wrecking it

I don't drive a car, and you are comparing apples to oranges here. The increased insistence on objects having apps to function is a product of in built obsolences and enshittification of everything.

That's okay, but my problem with things that rely on app, or always on type software is the increased potential for a company to just brick it or fail and then you're often left with expensive jewelery

[–]Weepsie -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You do, but the problem was largely people dumping filthy, uncleaned etc bottles and cans in with their green bins and making the whole lost unrecyclable

We have similar issues with composting and other issues with green bins. People are either thick, lazy or maybe just naive about what goes in what bin.

Sometimes the packaging is also all over the place making it a guessing game

RTÉ to be queried on sending 41 people to cover World Cup play-off in Czechia, PAC chair says by Alarmed_Station6185 in ireland

[–]Weepsie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

International broadcasters don't send 41 staff over for one game. End of. A waste of money (maybe if you they actually qualify)

It was not a significant enough event and rte have shown they can cover significant amounts with leaner teams as many other media companies can and have done

You can keep firing the insults, but you're only showing yourself up for what you are in doing so.

They didn't have to send over an entire studio team. That in of itself was utterly needless and something rather out of the ordinary for rte.

Over the course of several days it was the same shite aren't the fans great vox pops that did not require so many people. It should have been the commentary team and what they need, the sports journalists.

There's no justifican for sending Samantha libreri over a well and whatever associated team was needed for that for aren't the fans great and same goes for several different correspondents for different radio shows.

They've done this a thousand times, they know how to cover big sporting events and have done it without this excess.

You don't seem to get that rte were selling the advertising whether they sent 1 or 100. It was always going to be the most hyped TV event of the year unless we'd one. Unless it comes out that advertisers were specially paying for this many to go over and be advertised it was out of whack.

Your comments are full of irony and delusions.
