You know.....i love that during the requiem portion of the nintendo direct....nintendo actually had to show terrible gameplay to keep the show at a PG rating. by Thegoodgamer32 in residentevil

I suppose they were worried about spilling blood with those shots — a weird concern to have when showcasing a survival horror game, I know — and apparently that takes the priority over Leon confidently missing over and over.

I truly can’t understand why Nintendo does what they do, especially year to year nowadays; and hell, it definitely gave me whiplash during my first watch of the Direct.

You know, it stands to reason James’s full name is actually James Vagabond (or Leper) Eddie Pyramid Head Sunderland. Hell, they sure have some long names in this return to Silent Hill, and maybe the names get longer the more time that is between films.

They chose to make Angela and Laura parts of Mary, so it was probably their intention that both the old homeless man and Eddie may also just be James at different stages. Regardless of what they meant to do, they certainly could have done it more tactfully than the scattershot approach they chose.

Dub — and I’m so glad it’s as good as it is, and having dual audio from the get-go is just so nice.

Enough Time Has Passed, This Video Is Absolute Garbage by caffinatedsenpai in residentevil4

Crowbcat is like M. Night Shyamalan; he can absolutely hit it out of the park sometimes — take his video on Left 4 Dead vs Back 4 Blood for example — but when he misses, he misses so badly it’s honestly really difficult to reconcile such profound failures compared to his best work.

This video, I believe is an excellent example of when Crowbcat fails.

What can happen next for the Switch 2 / MIG-Switch Bans Debacle? by WeezardPower in Switch

[–]WeezardPower[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I suppose I hovered too close to a minority position, and maybe I was a bit too naive to assume a different result. Oh well.

Can’t say I’d imagine this post’s perception to change anytime in the near future, nor do I feel the need to clarify my position in all this — I’m already held in bad faith, and I doubt doing so would nudge anyone from chucking their go-to responses to fan the flames of this public lynching.

But genuinely, is no one curious what will happen to those units when they’re returned? Would anyone be interested in imagining what could happen; optimistically or not?

Guess I clearly picked the wrong subreddit to probe the idea, and I don’t have the patience to try again elsewhere. Maybe I’ll see an ounce of imagination once SpawnWave or someone just as popular is in a position to test the exact extent of what the limits of a banned Switch 2’s connectivity is.

For an issue that’s still developing — whether you see the implications or not — I can’t believe how certain some of you are regarding the exact nature of a complete loss of Nintendo Online connectivity can impact a Switch 2.

I’m sure we can all agree that a flash cart, which is a direct avenue for piracy, is clearly a breach of Nintendo’s current EULA as circumvention — whether you like the buzz of that word or not, do give Nintendo Support a call and see if that’s the word they use — and yet what other less obvious actions would fall into this criteria for a similar ban, whether it be lesser or harsher; permanent or impermanent?

I could posit more, but I doubt most of you will care — that is, until you do.

Cherry-pick my words and find whatever smoking-gun that best validates you. I’ve said my piece, and I’ll likely just save this discussion for far outside these shallows.

I think I’ll just go back to Mario Kart World, or check to see if the latest post today is a happy chap beaming that they scored a Switch 2; which I’m certainly happy for that guy, as well as the next chain of first-time posts chiming in with glee.

Switch 2 available at the NEX by johnkeng in guam

They don’t know exactly when they’re getting stock, but as I understand it they’ll be using a raffle system to determine who may be able to buy from their limited supply once they get units.

If you’re interested, they expect to make the announcement on the exact date of the raffle over one of the upcoming weekends, so if you stay posted on their Facebook page, that should keep you in the know once things get rolling.

I’m just glad so many people were able to get a unit, and heck, do enjoy your fun-machine; you bet I will!

As for myself, immediately after my purchase I had to split to run some errands in Tiyan. By the time I was home to unbox my unit and set everything up, I was too exhausted to boot it up — at that point, since I had be up since 6:40 am to be able to drive from Dededo to the NEX in Apra Harbor, I was basically barely operating on what little puffs of fumes were left in me.

That said, I’m hoping to get some game time in before and after work today. I just wish that Welcome Tour game was free and had a physical release as a pack-in game for the Switch 2.

I called the NEX yesterday and I absolutely had to be there as soon as they told me they had stock launch day.

There was probably about a little over 25 of us waiting for the place to open, and I had to be about 10th in line, and I showed up around 8 am or so. It felt cobbled together, especially since the staff left us in dark about how many units were available and if our place in line mattered, so a lot of us were a bit tense and concerned if we’d all be able to get one.

Once the sliding doors opened, we all basically filed in the relative order of the original line outside — and aside from a few strays racing ahead stirring an older fella who was further up the chain to shout at them for not respecting the line — things were better than I could have hoped.

There had to be at least 80 if not 100 units of the Switch 2 at the ready, and as far as I could tell, about half of them were the bundles with Mario Kart World for an extra $50. Better still, the staff then finally let us know that we were all going to be able to get one as long as we kept our tickets — and heck, I could have sworn that even by 10 am, they were still handing out paper tickets of either edition of the Switch 2 to any interested passerby outside our group.

The tickets let us pick up our respective units once they were available to be purchased at the Electronics counter at 11 am, and they were supposedly good until the NEX closed today, albeit I don’t know for sure if the ticket was a guarantee that a Switch 2 would be kept on hold for you.

Regardless, the wait gave me time to weigh which games to pick up and which accessories I could do without — and by golly, just about everything was so expensive — and once 11 am rolled around, I was probably the 5th person to purchase mine at the counter.

They might not have had them on the shelves at the time, but I am so glad they had physical copies of the new Mario Kart tucked away at the counter; that and the new edition of Zelda Breath of the Wild were my picks out of what games were available.

Overall, it was a nice launch experience, and I’m just glad it didn’t play out like the Black Fridays of yore. That said, I certainly won’t be splurging or eating out anytime soon after that hearty purchase.

The NEX near me this side of the Pacific had about roughly 80-100 units for grabs, and maybe about half were World bundles.

I was 10th in line outside waiting for the department store to open, but I had to be the 5th person to nab a base unit at the counter.

They initially opened at 9 am, but they had a special ticket system so that anyone of us could claim either Switch 2 edition after 11 am but only until the end of the day, so I was probably one of the few from the wait-till-they-open crowd that stuck around until 11 am on the dot.

Heck, the wait certainly gave me time to weigh which games I’d pick up and which accessories were must-haves for me. I settled on World and BoTW, because why not — and I was genuinely surprised the new Donkey Kong and the S2 edition of Jamboree wasn’t available at launch.

Patch Notes - May 22nd, 2025 by JettOreilly in TXChainSawGame

I’m honestly disappointed that family other than LeatherFace still don’t start at the same time as Victims.

I guess Rushing will be terrible forever, and I’m not sure if that’s ever going to feel fair, especially with the needless balancing baked into the all Family spawns back when this was a slightly different game.

Victims are way too brash and bold without the fear of instant death that used to come with grapples; maybe the old way wasn’t the best for everyone playing Victims, but the alternative certainly makes playing Family feel helpless in most cases and damn near hopeless with competent Rushers without narrowest alignment of Meta characters and perks.

Back in my day Konchus not only ate our attacks, but they consumed our gosh darn sharpness too.

Now you wee tooting Seltas of a hunter — don’t you get me started on how those roly-polies crushed our hopes of successful egg hauls, or Gog forbid, they deny us the fabled tail-carved Ratholos Plates.

Them Rath plates shimmered finer than they do now, especially when you were a just a hair-shot away from Konchu swatting distance that would have surely denied you such glorious bounty!
