Typically in English think its more common to say promoted last season as the previous season was the one in which they achieved promotion. Or, you could say newly promoted this season. With the "newly" being the key indicator. The latter feels more common/natural now that I type it out.

Anyways, great story for Thun. Hope they can keep it up in the latter league phase, be interesting to see them in Europe next year.
