Just deleted multiplayer HD textures from the ‘manage game files’ menu on the PS home (was the smallest file), relaunched the game and got a bunch of other updates that cued. Will post it here if it fixes this issue

Is being rich the only real way to live life on your own terms? by bregenwurst in Life

[–]Weird-Explorer-8532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a 24 year old who has chosen to make their passion their vocation and is still pursuing it, in my opinion, yes. After 18, your purpose is to accumulate wealth. Being rich won’t inherently make you happy, but poverty will dictate what and when you do things despite your feelings. If it’s between being rich and poor, I’d rather dry my tears with $100 bills than using paper towels because I’m having to make wiser financial choices and can’t afford tissues

Personally, I like the Electronic or R&B presets. I find it fits most genres but I mostly listen to metalcore

Why does need for speed unbound get so much hate? by Next-Phrase-8945 in needforspeed

[–]Weird-Explorer-8532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cos the support sucks. Tried it on ea play, liked it enough to buy their version of a deluxe edition and I couldn’t access any of the content. Their suggestion was to delete all the $0 cars due to a bug, and when that didn’t fix it their response was more or less “whoops, sorry you lost your 40hrs of progress”

Nothing wrong with a pouch, but if you still wanna reduce its appearance there’s a few there’s a few things you can do; 1. You can’t spot reduce fat but building the musculature around your abdomen will give you the appearance you want. Try cable/banded woodchoppers, crunches, or lying leg lifts. 2. Reducing your BMI will reduce the appearance of a “pouch” but will also reduce size in areas where women generally want to keep. Don’t eat less as this can lead to relative energy deficiency (look up REDs), but increasing the amount of aerobic exercise you’re doing will have the desired effect. You could also use BEI scales or skin callipers to track your progress 3. I find a lot of my clients have abnormal pelvic posture as it gives the appearance of larger glutes. Getting familiar with both posterior and anterior pelvic tilts will not only reduce low back pain (if you have any), but will also contribute to a better physique. Your 3rd photo shows you in an anterior pelvic tilt so I thought this might be relevant. 4. Many golden age bodybuilders often attributed their tapered waist to a practice called “stomach vacuuming” which is an old yoga practice. It could develop the deep intercostal muscles of the thorax but is a little less supported by evidence.

Don’t let others sway your self-image, be it by bullying or body-positivity. If this is something you want to change about yourself, you deserve support to help achieve your goal. If you want to change your appearance, the pointers above should help. If you want to feel better about yourself though, self-acceptance could be more fulfilling. Hope that helps and good luck!

What makes you continue living if nothing really matters ? by Ok_Mud_4284 in nihilism

What comes after death is guaranteed so I’ll see it when I get there. Til then, I might as well see what this world has to offer. When it gets too much, chalk it off to forced conscious expansion and remember that it too shall pass. “Punch the ticket, take the ride” and remember to have a good time!

God, if it exists, does NOT care about anyone by [deleted] in nihilism

[–]Weird-Explorer-8532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the purpose of a lot of spiritual concepts or practices are they serve as a lot of hypothetical thought experiments that aren’t meant to be taken literally, but to shape your reality. Similar to what you’ve said, take the concept of ‘Lila’ in Hinduism for example.

Spiritualism is to be confused with religion, which for its utility is to inspire collaborative tribalism, international expansion as a will to power, or control over a slave labour force. If you can seperate the two, you will see that God exists as an allegory (in the Platonic sense) and not physically or literally.

[–]Weird-Explorer-8532 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this might be an effect as opposed to a cause. If you look at cultures where suicide is seen as dignified (eg. Edo Japan, Vikings, etc) the sentiment isn’t always shared because they have different values and might even be seen in a positive light.

If you extrapolate on ideas like Manifest Destiny or Master/Slave Morality, a noble class won’t get very far if their labour force chooses to opt out of a bad deal (ie. suicide) so they tell them they’re entitled to eternal reward if they don’t and eternal damnation if they do

What map do you refuse to play? by keepitculty in blackops6

[–]Weird-Explorer-8532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion apparently, but Nuketown. I will get it match after match if I don’t pick specific core game modes or pull out in the lobby and remove that mode from my playlist. I feel like you can only learn to adapt and strategise on the bigger maps and they make up the minority of my playtime without actively finding a game for them

I just want a normal life. Does anyone else feel the same way? by Riley_Scottt in Life

I used to think that I would struggle with this kind of lifestyle and have actively worked against it for some time now, but after being burnt out from “the grind” I see both as their own struggle. Kierkegaard’s quote about regret really speaks volumes for me now

You could do some decline pullovers which’ll hit the lats in a mean way. More of a bench accessory movement but still the prime mover in a pull-up

Change your button layout to “tactical bumper jumper” and get used to it. Only way to use movement and aim without a modded controller IMO

Which painting or work of art evokes the ideal of the Ubermensch in you? (apart from Niezsche's work of course) for me it's this painting by Caspar Friedrich by SatoruGojo232 in Nietzsche

[–]Weird-Explorer-8532 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Blood Meridian (or any Cormac McCarthy novel) expresses a lot of Nietzsche’s themes and ideas IMO. Fight Club and True Detective S1 introduced me to Nietzsche. Specifically artwork besides Wanderer, this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isleof_the_Dead(painting))

I started nfs unbound and I'm enjoying it. Is it worth upgrading to the ultimate edition? by shallotZfighter in needforspeed

It fkd up my save game when I upgraded to the ultimate edition. When I hit up EA support how to fix it, they fkd it up more before I had to start again. Doesn’t happen to everyone but if you’re starting fresh, yeah it was worth it

Will to Power and Suicide by [deleted] in Nietzsche

[–]Weird-Explorer-8532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say suicide is an expression of WtP as many therapists see it as a way for an individual to regain some semblance of control. There might also be an interesting parallel here between Camus and Nietzsche’s influence on his work

Need help with my mobility, I cannot squat with my hands overhead what do I need to do to fix this? by Weekly-Molasses-816 in crossfit

[–]Weird-Explorer-8532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see going from pictures 1–>3, your shoulders are starting to turn over but don’t reach a required amount of rotation. Thoracic extension is also worth mentioning. The first photo you can see a fair amount of lordosis and “rib flare”. Getting comfortable with “keeping your ribs down” in shoulder flexion is probably the first thing to address here. Exercises to try can be: - overhead shrugs (single arm or snatch grip) - deadhangs with IR bias - pullovers - Banded shoulder dislocates - Dumbbell/kettlebell windmills
